Yeah. I agree.....only use aluminum where it is necessary. Keep the vehicle flexin as much as possible. If offered, buy upgraded brand plastic pieces.
Don't deny the Notorious. It's an absolute beast and best value RTR. All Arrma. Arrma is owning the RTR segment.
What servos do last out of the box? Get a JS servo for cheap and win. At least you only have to buy one? Running two servos is risky and ridiculous imo. Just my opinion. Sorry Traxxas guys, I have Traxxas as well.

Hey Kev, I don't think your servo is dead! it's simply the gears and they just cost like 15 euro on amazon. I also had to buy new gears because I drove my arrma outcast in a car at full speed!
Too much work, just buy a new servo you can get a 20kg servo for like 20 bucks

What I liked about this video is that you had more that showed that you actually CAN drive an RC well. Destroy away :) Just adding that it's nice to see handling talent that reflects what most try to do with their RC WITHOUT breaking them.

Summits are rubbish the trx4 is 100 times better and way stronger
He's got an E-revo, he doesn't need a Summit. ALTHOUGH a Summit is the cross of E-revo and the TRX4. I own a summit myself and I'm not sure the Summit would be the right vehicle for Kev.
@@kristiankovacevic4634 Lol. I have a Summit and my brother has a TRX4. The Summit is much better for certain things than the TRX, but the TRX is better than the summit in certain things. They are two different animals for different environments. The only big difference between the two other than solid axles is the crawl mode the TRX has. I've only so far burnt out servos (same exact servos found in the TRX) and killed the bearing in the rear diff.
Sorry but I haven’t found a thing that the summit can do better then the trx 4 the summit is just poorly built and the diffs and driveshafts are junk and they are just trash even the erevo 2.0 is junk
Notorious is a must to get! But I want to get Arrma Typhon 6s on January first. I will get all Arrma brushless rigs later.

The servo in my outcast didn't make it through my first turn in my parking lot the night I bought. They sent a replacement a month later, but I replaced it with a savox 1210 waterproof and it's been holding up the past 5 months. I busted the same part for the front upper/rear hinge pin holder. Replaced it with voltage hobbies and it's been fine since as well. I did install RPM arms on it out of the box. I only run 4S though.
Did you set your points ? My talion points were off from the factory
@@rcjabroniyup4959 Yes. I wasn't using stock transmitter/receiver. I use a spektrum with my other vehicles, so I got a receiver to use with the outcast so I didn't have to futz around with the stock radio.

Kevin I highly recommend buying a Traxxas summit they are great cars expecialy because you like crawlers but if you upgrade your summit to brush less it amazing. I personally have a summit of my own and it has been upgraded to brush less and runs on 6s it goes 60 miles and hour and can still crawl. You should get one
I broke my 300€ rc car at the skatepark after watching this type of videos, so for now I’ll stick to watching again and maybe someday I’ll get something I can bash a bit harder:D
Team associated mt10 is hard to break
That wasn't bad considering the angle it hit at. I don't think anyone makes a servo that lasts any amount of time. I'm actually close to buying a high dollar servo, but am fearful it will die in about the same amount of time. I don't own any brushless servos and am wondering if the brushless motor is rebuildable like a typical brushless.

Well if not for the servo going which is a well known issue of the arrma 1/8 scale line, this has proven to be yet another example of how these Arrma's can take a harder beating than any of its direct competition. Loved that rainbow tail/wall ride to start off another excellent video. Btw that recent video with the arrma notorious and the xmaxx on the grass field w/ on board cameras was incredible footage! Bash on buddy. Cheers

Kev... Arrma’s stock servos are not the best but they are very good for a stock servos. They are metal geared and wya better that Traxxas’ones. ( I own a Traxxas and a Kraton so I can tell you ).

the servo sorta sounded like the servo horn was stripped or the gears were stripped because it has a plastic servo horn (i'm no pro, just my opinion and i'm probably wrong)

Have you had any issues with the spectrum 3200 kv motors? I have a Senton and the motor bearing blew. Warrantied the motor and the blx 3200kv they sent me blew front bearing first run... after this video, I’m buying a new servo lol
Rotate the stripped gear in the servo 180* and it’ll be good as new.
Bowl to ramp transfer with double backflip and landed it. Enough said!!!
