if they go to 14 teams, top 2 get a bye. they can then have the 6 first round games played at bowls, to keep the bowls included. they can call it the Super Six Bowlnanza playoff weekend or something :P you then play the quarters & semis at home campus. teams will fight tooth & nail to secure the highest rank possible because it means home games late into the playoffs :)
I'm happy Golic equated the NCAA with the English Premier League. The problem has always been that the same body trying to govern Akron is trying to govern Alabama as if they're equals. That's not the case and it was very unfair to Oregon and their fans to have to play that game against Liberty after a very successful season. They deserved the right to at least play a competitive game. In terms of the plans of the B1G/SEC, it's not about getting more money for the sake of getting more money. It's about reacting and responding to the threat of NIL to all of college sports. The NCAA is losing case after case in the courts when it comes to player compensation. The conferences and schools can't be on the hook for billions of dollars in the House case alone. They're simply trying to find the highest ground so they can settle current cases, and get antitrust protection via CBA with players against future cases. The only way the conferences/universities can afford to do this is by getting as much money as possible through selling TV rights to the best games. Right now, the SEC/B1G are comprised of the biggest and best brands so they have to look out for themselves. By 2026, one or both conferences will probably start revenue-sharing with players after a negotiated CBA. Programs like Notre Dame are going to be on the outside looking in talking about independence and playoff access when the threat is player compensation.
The NCAA is toast. They’ve completely lost control. The SEC and B1G will form their own governing body and the rest of the teams will be left in the dust unless they get picked up. What a shame
ND gets a free bye while other contenders play a conference title game. They should not get a 2nd bye by being a top 4 team. Join a conference and play a 13th game.
This is why conference champions should not be a lock in the top 4. and if you win your conference championship in the top four you’re gonna be in the top 12 but if you’re not in the top 12 you have no business in the playoff. I don’t care what kind of champ you are.
It just goes to show you that they’re constantly changing the narrative because chaos is the best thing in the world for the sports world so at what point do we not start thinking is this stuff planned out I mean are the winners picked at the beginning of the season or somewhere in the middle of the season
Everybody forgot that Georgia waited 41 years for a championship and Alabama last won a championship in 1992 before Saban...Notre dame is trending up in my opinion..We always be LSU and everyone in the mighty SEC..We lost to Georgia and Alabama like everyone else.
ND is in a conference in every sport except football and they're still half a member there. ND needs to stop with this "we're independent" and "special status" nonsense. Join a conference or be left out. The Big Ten and SEC should stop scheduling ND. It'll never happen, but it should.
Good stuff. Always love it👍

ND should have the same shot as any other big program cause there should be zero auto bids. QED.

Why does it seem that the audio track is off a little?
Definitely is

👍
ND…enjoy your bowl game against Boston College every year
Also, I thought if you were a conference champion, you were guaranteed a spot you weren’t necessarily guaranteed to be in the top four
ND is a strong, independent program that don’t need no playoff.
Hahahahahah the most arrogant fan base that hasn’t won shit in 36 years.
Nd will
Never be number 1
ND Is gonna fade to black if they don't join a conference! Come to the SEC and be the fifth best team every year!
