I've not heard this Michael Head song,, simple poetry, but vocally challenging composition. You do a very good job. I'm learning to sing "Money, O".so I'm exploring some more of Micheal Head's oeuvre.
I met a singer on the hill, He wore a tattered cloak; His cap was torn, His shoes were worn, And dreamily he spoke. Fa la la la la la ... Fa la la la la la. A wrinkled face, a cheery smile, And a nobby stick had he; His eyes were grey and far away And changeful as the sea. And changeful as the sea. I offered him a piece of gold And hoped that he would stay. No word he spoke, but shook his head And smiled and went his way. Fa la la la la la ... La la la la la la. I watched the singer down the hill. My eyes went following after, I thought I heard a fairy flute And the sound of fairy laughter, Fa la la la la la... etc.
Excellent voice. And as I listen, there's even more artistry to develop. For example, when you don't even have to think about what you are doing/singing. It's just a natural, effortless part of you everyone is hearing. Hope you have done so.

I'm singing this song for a recital in a few months. It is so difficult to do it well! You are very talented.
Good rendition. I won several prizes with The Singer - many years ago. Unaccompanied is best though. Thank you.
