I belive he said he was going to do a mini album but ended up doing 11 songs and the day after he finished "Seven" he began working on the this song he then worked 5 days and completed the album. Suchwita was were he discussed it Taehyung was on there and pointed out it took him 3 days for one song.
He had resting for months just chilling and hearing Seven lit a fire under him. The rest of the album was completed crazy quickly, especially as far as his piece went. Charlie Puth said that Jungkook is only the second artist he's ever worked with that sent him absolutely perfect vocals out of the gate when they did Left and Right collab. He just did a copy & paste of JK's vocals into the song. 😮
On Suschwita, JK said he actually recorded 4 songs in 5 days. He recorded this song before the others that came out first ( Seven & 3D). He said it was such a blur, he barely remembers. He recorded 1 song a day, come in and fixed ❤any little parts of it and record the next song. Suga and V said that is CRAZY fast! V said it took him 4 days to record ONE song!😂 JK has such talent!
he recorded seven first and then the next day he recorded SNTY. 3D was after the recording of some more songs. he recorded 5 songs a day for 5 days. recording of SNTY was a tough one and he was in a blur after recording it
Jungkook started his album preparation with 'Seven,' recording 'SNTY' just a day after finishing the recording for 'Seven.' It only took him 4 hours to record 'SNTY.' He proceeded to record '3D' at a much later stage, after the release of 'Seven,' while concurrently working on his other tracks. He has mentioned that he recorded a total of 5 songs in just one week. He also said that he wrapped up his album very quickly, likely completing it within three months following the release of 'seven.'
Not Butter more like MICHAEL JACKSON matching voice. Jungkook even does his moves, wardrobe and mv references. He pays tribute to Michael Jackson with such elegance and without losing his personality.
This retro funk is a tribute to MJ, the references were deliberate and meant to be noticed. Apparently he recorded a song a day (three-hour day), this song took him 4 hours though. Even Suga thought it was ridiculously fast.
~You are absolutely right! He said it was really hard. But he really is a prodigy cause he was shown the song and he recorded it the next day in one session of 3.5 hours. Tell me that is not insane. This song has AMAZING vocals, it is very demanding and he executes to perfection with his own flavor and making winks to MJ. You should watch his live performance on Fallon it was with dancing but the dancing and the vocals were incredible, you will be impressed. This one is also my favorite release. I am a Jazz fan so Funk is right up my alley. Regarding how long he was working on album~ He was working on his mixtape for a long time with his own written and produced songs but through time he released them as gifts, were included on BTS albums, and he couldn't get it exactly as he wanted it as a whole so it was on hold even if he kept working on it. This album GOLDEN is a different story and was actually put together amazingly quickly. He was asked to take a look at SEVEN for debut song and he followed his gut and agreed to it cause he loved it and after that the producers did not want to let him go :'D He said he recorded all the songs from the album in like a week time? In 3,5 hours recording sessions. It is crazy.
In an interview , he said he recorded 4-5 songs in just one week - and he recorded Standing next you in 4 hours. He is really an incredible artist and we are witnessing historical moments, he is sooo good . Giant pop star like MJ , paying tribute to him in a very elegant way but keeping his unique essence of musicality 👏👏👏 how proud Michael would be if he saw this 😢
In the documentary of seven, he went to usa to recording to seven in april or may i dont remember what exactly, and he said on suchwita that he was planing to do a mini album with songs he really like it with very good songs but when he was hearing all songs he likes many of them and recorded one song after one and it came out 11 in the end. Also he said he dont satiylsfyid with whole album but he says that all the time😂 u know he just have that personality, but he said hes trying to look at himself objectlly this days. Also he said he is mad at himself that he rest a lot after hiatus and take it so easy, and was sorry about that, telling he didnt forget about us and he worked hard on album because of us)) he really loves army... and month ago in live he said he really loved being in the rest, he was just in bed watching anime all day and eating good foods, but he said he thinks that this live where his everyday working and being tired or sometimes annoyed fits to his personality well than not doing anythink, and i was very sad about that... being an singer or celebrity is not easy too if u think about it too. He was like its my fate i should always be like that so i can pay all ur love back to u armys, but he also said preapering for this album was lot easier and fun that he thought, he said that its gets awkward to be fillming alone without members, he missed members so much, and still i am glad he did this album fast and i hope bts will come back together very soon, i want them being together, my members always happy being together and we like them being that, and i hope they will having rest a lot too
Jungkook has mentioned on a show that SNTY recorded a day after given to him for practice. And recording is done after 4 hrs. And same with other songs. He's such a genius!
In his interview with Yoongi he said that he originally planned to have an EP but while he was recording one of the songs in the US, the produced showed him some of his other works and Jungkook liked one of the songs so much (i think it was standing next to you) that he basically learned it in a day, so that's how his EP turned into a full album, he also said that this time he decided to focus more on vocals than on writing and producing his own songs, and i think he really succeeded vocally, you should watch the interview
He was able to do it so quickly because he opted to select pre-written English songs rather than writing his own for the album. He was apparently on the fence about releasing an album at all. He has been working on his own music over the years, but he has been known to just delete masterpieces he creates himself 😭 I honestly find that to be very relatable though.
Vocally according to me the best song from jungkook. I love how his album shows the vocal range that is restricted when in the group since they all have specific roles.
He actually started working in the album in may, he started with the title track (standing next to you, but it only came out a few days ago), seven which was released in july, then 3d which came out in september and then somewhere between june and july he started working on the other tracks. He said in a talk show with suga and v that he actually did everything very quickly and even recorded 5 tracks in 5 days; he fell in love with the demo of standing next to you at first listen, recorded it the next day (the day after recording seven) and it took him 4 hours, so he was understandably exhausted after😅 so yeah, I'd also say he' a musical genius😊
He said on his live show he chose the songs quickly depending on how they sounded to him and had to record them back to back while trying to get the pronunciation right. He is definitely a musical genius. There isn’t another artist besides BTS and JK who has interested me to this level since MJ.
He actually hasn't been working on it for very long! He talked alot about it in his episode with suga on suchwita, but that he has gotten much more efficient with the recording if things, and that hes felt the development of his voice. He chose the songs, but dont know how involved he was in the musical production
Thank you sm for this beautiful video as usual you are such a professional….. it’s crazy in many ways cause he just started to make the album at the same time as seven and from that time he started getting his songs He said he recorded all songs for ‘golden’ in a week every song in 3 hours a day but standing with you was such a big project needs more time he said he recorded it for longer time ever for 4 hours. Definitely jungkook is nailing it with this high quality songs he did such a good job with the talent he already had. He used it well
His album is fabulous. Every song is amazing. He only worked on it for a short time. He recorded 5 songs in one week. One every day. He is crazy talented.
I agree. He took his vocal prowess to another stratosphere. This song is truly the gold standard in his discography. He's forever Golden. The whole album is chef's kiss. ARMY for life.
He talked about the recording process a bit on his most recent episode of Suchwita. He said he recorded 5 songs in a week. He also said that he only recorded 3 hours one day, do touch ups the next day, then record another song the following day.
You should check out the artists he collaborated with as well as the producers!! Everyone wants to work with JungKook, including music video directors (the woman who did this one, also has worked with The Weekend and so many others!) and other singers and songwriters!! We need a reaction to “Hate You” by Jungkook because Shawn Mendes worked on it. It’s so weird hearing someone else sing Shawn’s work, you can definitely tell that he played a massive role in the lyrics
Standing next to you is a perfect song like it's a masterpiece it's so good.. and yes jungkook's album GOLDEN is out now and it's sooo good as well.. he's really been working hard on this album
Actually Jungkook said himself that this album was done in a very short time. He recorded 1 song a day. On day one he recorded seven, the next day it was Standing next to you, it was the same with other songs on GOLDEN. In September album was almost ready to go! He just started a little late, as he took his time to rest after group activities, but after he put out seven, he went with the flow! He will also perform all of the songs on November 20th! and tommorow he's going to do Standing next to you at Fallon. Love your reactions, you said all the right and important things 💜
Thank you for your reaction. He did it in just 3 months. Planning to only have mini album but ended up having a full length album 'cause he enjoyed the recording process. Recording 4 hrs for 1 song. You must watch suchwita.
He’s known to have perfect pitch and relentless work ethic genius vibes indeed🔥…. I believe he’s been at this since the spring of 2023…he said he recorded 5 songs in a week 🤯
Finally! I was waiting for your reaction😅loved it! I'm obsessed with standing next to you & all of Golden's songs. Literally has no skips imo. I have been playing it non-stop since the release♥️
Am glad am not the only 1 that caught the 80s vibes to the song which is why I like the song so much because I LOVE songs from the 80s plus the addicting vocals of JK of course xD
i love how you mentioned how his vocal approach has almost shifted during this era because namjoon has actually talked about this regarding the vocalists in bts!! taehyung, jimin, seokjin and jungkook have all COMPLETELY tapped into their favourite genres, and you can tell they’re practicing these specific genres too. taehyung with his jazz r&b approach, he really showcased his versatility on his tiny desk, those runs were SO agile, seokjins powerhouse vocals after being KNOWN for thriving on pop ballads in the past, jimin embodying that main pop vocal but also elements of rap in his album which was surprising and nice contrast to his VERY light vocal style, and now jungkook going back and forth between his staple airy vocals and having a fuller sound, the rapline have spoken about how this solo era will really allow the vocalists to thrive as they’re able to experiment with keys/styles they don’t normally experiment with in the group songs. we’ve heard a lot of this versatility with their solo songs IN the bts albums but now there are entire track lists showcasing it. even the rapline have been singing more, not wanting to be defined by a specific style anymore which is so nice to see . it really shows that this solo era is an extension of their abilities as a group, and that they’re preparing to work hard and find themselves individually just so they can become stronger as a team when they come back together in 2025
For me, right now, JK is one of the best pop singers out there. I truly think hes going to be named the prince of pop or something like that in a few years
when you said "he didn't need to dance" it made me laugh bc I don't know if there's a song (of/by him) where he can be standing still, he just loves to dance and move around even if the song is a choreography-less 🤣 anw i love your reaction and commentary, Tristan ^^
If you haven’t yet, please watch his phenomenal live performance at the TSX Stage in Times Square! He performed 5 of his ‘GOLDEN’ songs. He sang & danced so exquisitely…it was an unforgettable experience for his fans! We’re sooo incredibly proud of JungKook, our Amazing Global Pop Superstar!!😍🔥💞
He said in his recent Suchwita interview he was able to release the songs because at one point he recorded 5 songs in a week..so 1 song per day. It was not supposed to be an album but a mini album
@tristanparedes~ you asked how long JK worked on SNTY b4 recording it? SNTY was suggested to him at the studio immed after recording ‘Seven’. Learning the (foreign) lyrics that evening, then proceeded to record it the very next morning! He recorded it so perfectly & exquisitely in just 4 hours!! For ‘Left & Right’, Charlie Puth said JK sent him such “perfect vocals” that all he had to do was drop it into the song and that was that! Another masterpiece ‘Stay Alive’, JK recorded it in one take! It’s the same for all his songs! JungKook’s amazing talent & incredible vocal agility & versatility is indeed the epitome of a great “musical genius”!!🔥
Jungkook wasn't sure about an album, maybe just a few singles instead. Scooter Braun sent a song to Bang PD. Once JK heard Seven, he was energized to do an album, and 3 MV's. All this happened earlier this year. Jungkook pays homage to Michael in this MV. Since it's for the main track of his debut album, they went all out. Because the songs on Golden tell the story of a relationship, JK asks us to listen to the tracks in order. Please remind your viewers to watch the official MV themself at least once. Those views help Jungkook with charts worldwide. Thanks. (And buy the album, it will become an all-time classic).
He’s got a Micheal Jackson, Bruno Marz, vibe as far as beat, and vocals, etc has a Micheal Jackson “I wanna rock with you” kind of vibe with the Bruno Marz “ayyyee” with the uptown funk best similarity

Charlie Puth said that Jungkook is only the second artist he's ever worked with that sent him absolutely perfect vocals out of the gate when they did Left and Right collab. He just did a copy & paste of JK's vocals into the song. 😮
So glad you hear Timberlake in him! I hear it especially in 3D. The album is insanely good.
He got the songs in short time and it's all amazing because he got a perfect pitch..💜💪🔥🐰
3D was after the recording of some more songs. he recorded 5 songs a day for 5 days. recording of SNTY was a tough one and he was in a blur after recording it
Seven was first, though, wasn't it? He's mentioned that he didn't work on much and that it basically all started when he heard Seven.

he actually has done it live! on iheart radios youtube channel :)
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!! JK bias stans unite!! 😂💜
I noticed it immediately. It's such a serene & perfect tribute.
react to jungkook's album golden!!! thank you for this video i love this song too 🔥
~You are absolutely right!
It is crazy.
hes just took a 5 days to create 4/5 songs of the album. And he said he worked 4 hours to work on this song!!!
He was like its my fate i should always be like that so i can pay all ur love back to u armys, but he also said preapering for this album was lot easier and fun that he thought, he said that its gets awkward to be fillming alone without members, he missed members so much, and still i am glad he did this album fast and i hope bts will come back together very soon, i want them being together, my members always happy being together and we like them being that, and i hope they will having rest a lot too
Yessss.... finally! I was waiting for your reaction to this one. Thank you for reacting to JK's Standing Next To You.
He recorded 5 songs in 5 days. It took him 4 hours to record Standing next to you the rest he said 2 hours. That’s how good he is.
Jungkook has mentioned on a show that SNTY recorded a day after given to him for practice. And recording is done after 4 hrs. And same with other songs. He's such a genius!
another detail he shared on Suchwita regarding the album, he recorded this song the day after recording Seven!
In his interview with Yoongi he said that he originally planned to have an EP but while he was recording one of the songs in the US, the produced showed him some of his other works and Jungkook liked one of the songs so much (i think it was standing next to you) that he basically learned it in a day, so that's how his EP turned into a full album, he also said that this time he decided to focus more on vocals than on writing and producing his own songs, and i think he really succeeded vocally, you should watch the interview
he said it took him 3h to record each, so he managed 5 within a week including fine tuning.
rn, he's like a comet that keeps gaining velocity.
TRISTANNN!!! i'm so happy you liked it, this song really makes me feel a different way
There's an IheartRadio live performance on youtube now. He sounds incredible.
This definitely reminds me of Michael Jackson, the song and video 🏆🏆🏆
He was able to do it so quickly because he opted to select pre-written English songs rather than writing his own for the album. He was apparently on the fence about releasing an album at all. He has been working on his own music over the years, but he has been known to just delete masterpieces he creates himself 😭 I honestly find that to be very relatable though.
Vocally according to me the best song from jungkook. I love how his album shows the vocal range that is restricted when in the group since they all have specific roles.
Jk is Jking and I’m living for it this song showcased his vocals perfectly.
I was waiting for this reaction ❤😂
He eat the MVS vocal when he sang it live, its crazy
Thank god they finally made him use his speaking voice for singing. For the longest time they boxed him into using stylized and very pop techniques.
This song and mv is a subtle tribute to MJ per HYBE statement.
IM SO OBSESSED WITH HIM AND HIS VOCALS AND HIS DANCING AND EVERYTHING ELSE
Thank you sm for this beautiful video as usual you are such a professional….. it’s crazy in many ways cause he just started to make the album at the same time as seven and from that time he started getting his songs
He said he recorded all songs for ‘golden’ in a week every song in 3 hours a day but standing with you was such a big project needs more time he said he recorded it for longer time ever for 4 hours.
Definitely jungkook is nailing it with this high quality songs he did such a good job with the talent he already had. He used it well
I really enjoyed your critique.. You did not sound cringe in saying he's a genius. he really does have a keen ear for sound/music.
His album is fabulous. Every song is amazing. He only worked on it for a short time. He recorded 5 songs in one week. One every day. He is crazy talented.
He already did live!
I love this song is amazing! and I love Jungkook so much. Great reaction 😊
Tristan you have to watch the live IHeartRadio version!!!
He’s so goood
I agree. He took his vocal prowess to another stratosphere. This song is truly the gold standard in his discography. He's forever Golden. The whole album is chef's kiss. ARMY for life.
He allready did this song live at Iheartradio he also performed Seven, is so good
He talked about the recording process a bit on his most recent episode of Suchwita.
He is a musical genius, has perfect pitch, loves ALL genres of music (wants to try them all including musicals and opera!) loves his fans, friends, family, BTS, and is the most humble and kind human being....this from everyone who has had the fortune to meet him. 💜🐰
Happy to see you back with this Phenomenal song !
His LIVE performance is must watch
We need a reaction to “Hate You” by Jungkook because Shawn Mendes worked on it. It’s so weird hearing someone else sing Shawn’s work, you can definitely tell that he played a massive role in the lyrics
Standing next to you is a perfect song like it's a masterpiece it's so good.. and yes jungkook's album GOLDEN is out now and it's sooo good as well.. he's really been working hard on this album
I’m getting Justin Timberlake mixed with some Michael Jackson .. very nice
JT obviously influenced by MJ too. So glad others are hearing JT I rarely see that mentioned but I hear it so much in his newer solo work.
SO PROUD OF OUR JUNGKOOK
JUNGKOOK BILLBOARD DOMINATION
POP PRINCE JUNGKOOK
HISTORY MAKER JUNGKOOK
JUNGKOOK BIGGER THAN K-POP
Please react to “shot glass of tears” by Jungkook!! I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Best slow song on the album imo!
He’s known to have perfect pitch and relentless work ethic genius vibes indeed🔥…. I believe he’s been at this since the spring of 2023…he said he recorded 5 songs in a week 🤯
According to his comment during his interview on suchwita with Suga, he finished 5 songs in 5 days
Finally! I was waiting for your reaction😅loved it! I'm obsessed with standing next to you & all of Golden's songs. Literally has no skips imo. I have been playing it non-stop since the release♥️
I skip Too Sad To Dance sometimes but I love everything else!
You should watch the latest Suchwita episode. Jungkook talks about his album, also the first time he was on the show he did Karaoke.
He said that he recorded this song around 4 hours and no re-record, and then 3 hours for other each songs on the album
Plz check out live performance of iHeartRadio
I truly think hes going to be named the prince of pop or something like that in a few years
He gives me 100% Michael Jackson vibes, especially the intro. The dancing, the back-up vocals, even the girl 😂
To me JK sounded like the King himself. That opening line! That aggression. He is the new ly minted prince
JK is once in a life time performer, singer, dancer and most adorable human being with a rare heart of gold.
when you said "he didn't need to dance" it made me laugh bc I don't know if there's a song (of/by him) where he can be standing still, he just loves to dance and move around even if the song is a choreography-less 🤣 anw i love your reaction and commentary, Tristan ^^
He had said it in Suchwita that this song took him the longest to record since it was challenging to him. It took him 4 hours 💀
i always look forward to your jungkook reactions
me too
YAAAAAAY I love when Tristan reacts to JungKook
If you haven’t yet, please watch his phenomenal live performance at the TSX Stage in Times Square! He performed 5 of his ‘GOLDEN’ songs. He sang & danced so exquisitely…it was an unforgettable experience for his fans! We’re sooo incredibly proud of JungKook, our Amazing Global Pop Superstar!!😍🔥💞
He said in his recent Suchwita interview he was able to release the songs because at one point he recorded 5 songs in a week..so 1 song per day. It was not supposed to be an album but a mini album
The whole album is amazing! My favorite track was actually co-written by Ed Sheeran and I’d love your reaction on it! Track 5: Yes or No ❤
@tristanparedes~ you asked how long JK worked on SNTY b4 recording it?
Jk pop king
It has such a Michael Jackson vibe. I’m feeling it. 💜
Yes you're right JK is a genius,a very talented young man,💜
Check out hate you by him. Shawn Mendes wrote it and it's really good
Jungkook is a league of his own 💜
He’s got a Micheal Jackson, Bruno Marz, vibe as far as beat, and vocals, etc has a Micheal Jackson “I wanna rock with you” kind of vibe with the Bruno Marz “ayyyee” with the uptown funk best similarity
He talks about how long and how he finds songs on Suga's latest talk show. Suga talks a lot of music on the show. You would like it I think.
In other news, Looking good Tristan, hot as hell! Loved the reaction.💜
11/27 I had to come back because YOU called it! There is a JK JT remix of a song that is so good I don't care if I hear hear the 1st rap version ever again, LOL sorry rap peeps.
He talks in depth about the album making process in his recent Suchwita episode. The full thing is up on TH-cam
