Kerala style chicken curry / Nadan kozhi curry is a very popular chicken curry in Kerala and it goes well with Kerala style parotta, appam, plain rice or ghee rice. This Restaurant Style Chicken curry cannot be made in a hurry as the onion has to be cooked until soft and caramelized. The slow cooking provides a very scrumptious restaurant style chicken curry with a good reddish color.

Chicken ( ചിക്കൻ ) - 800g
Dry red chillies ( വറ്റൽ മുളക് ) - 14 Nos
Kashmiri dry chillies ( പിരി മുളക് ) - 2 Nos
Cashew nut ( അണ്ടിപ്പരിപ്പ് ) - 15 Nos
Tomato ( തക്കാളി ) - 3 [M]
Coconut oil ( വെളിച്ചെണ്ണ ) - 3 Tbsp
Fenugreek seeds ( ഉലുവ ) - 10 Nos
Chopped garlic ( വെളുത്തുള്ളി ) - 1 tsp
Chopped ginger ( ഇഞ്ചി ) - 1.5 tsp
Onion ( വലിയ ഉള്ളി ) - 3 [M]
Salt ( ഉപ്പ്‌ )
Tumeric powder ( മഞ്ഞൾപ്പൊടി ) - 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder ( മല്ലിപ്പൊടി ) - 1 Tbsp
Red chilli powder ( മുളക്‌ പൊടി ) - 3/4 tsp
Garam masala ( ഗരം മസാല ) - 1/2 tsp
Water ( വെള്ളം ) - 1 cup( 250 ml )
Curry leaves ( കറിവേപ്പില ) - 8 Nos
