The reason for this is because farm dogs can get they’re tails caught on wood bushes etc and the same for there ears when a predator comes they can get there ears snagged
When the puppy gets its tail chopped off it feels pain but maybe for a few days and it gets less painful. but when there is a rubber band choking the tail the puppy feels pain for weeks and weeks until it falls off.@@iamfromthecorpslmao

I just banded my litter of boxer pups tails yesterday! We've always had the vet cut them in the past but after TONS of research and consideration, we decided to go with the bands this time. The pups didnt even squeal or cry! I picked each pup up and held them close while i slipped the bands on (i used an elastrator tool) and placed them right back with mom to nurse. They were totally unfazed. The bands are safer bc the infection risk is much lower and theres no bleeding. The hair actually grows back all the way to the end as opposed to the little bald tip that usually appears after being cut.❤
