    damn! this is why i don't do gas ...yet. i can troubleshoot the electronics part for my customers in home cooling systems.i don't auto for customers.i just haven't learned yet also if needed the other gases besides 134a i can't get my hands on because i'm not a licensed hvac guy.i only repair stuff to certain degree that's why i leave it to the pros like you.awesome vid,well explained and pretty easy enough to understand.thanks i will save this one cause my van ac isn't working of course that's why i'm here,lol!..i get power 12v to everything except the compressor connection but i'm also out of gas too and i could't get any in with my little can set up with the t handle.it was leaking out of the valve stem of the can..i don't know if i should suck the system dry and then put a can in with a better set up.i have a set of guages i never used that i got from a friend that needs the quick connectors for...

    R134a is a refrigeration refrigerant? Then why do A/C chillers I take care of have hundreds to thousands of pounds of R134a?

    • @JumpermanTech
      @JumpermanTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      R134A is used in refrigeration. That chiller is considered industrial refrigeration 👀😎 I just also got my refrigerating operating engineers license and It was based on indirect system such as chillers👍 Funny how it supplies chilled water for air conditioning systems. In reality, AC & Refrigeration is the same. The science is the same with the theory. As a commercial AC & refrigeration tech, you only see 134a in refrigeration applications. Stay safe out there & stay tuned for new videos every week!

    Hello I have a 1996 ford E350 church bus with rear overhead ac.the rear is blowing cool but not the front. I replaced the dryer and replaced all the o rings I would find. I got a new expansion valve for the front ac but can't find it. Do you know where it is located on these vans.
    Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Great video, thanks!
    You clearly know your stuff.
    I've learned a ton watching your content the past few days (interested from a diy automotive perspective).
    ?: do you need to worry about loss of pag oil as you need to do this every year or so in your situation.
    Stay safe! And cool. 100F mamma mia!

    Why didn't you try and locate leak,instead of always having to add freon,anyone can just add freon ,I was hoping you found source of problem. Lazy

    Hi, I don't know which links you provided will work for my 2008 Ford E-250 4.6L van. My understanding is it needs R-134a but how do I make it fit on my van? Please help and thank you.

    00:30 "AC set to cool" Just for people who don't understand vehicle HVAC systems, the control he indicated has NOTHING to do with the air conditioner. This control only adjusts how much heat is being added from the heater section of the HVAC, from off ("cool") to maximum heat ("warm"). If you have the switch set to AC then the AC is on. You might be able to overpower it by turning the heat all the way up, but the knob does not do anything to the AC part of the system. If you have the switch set to Vent, Flr, Mix, or Defrost (and, of course, Off) and the temperature control set to "cool", rest assured the AC is NOT ON in any way. There are some vehicle systems that turn on the AC compressor when in Defrost for the purpose of removing moisture (i.e., defrosting with air that has had some of the moisture removed from it), if so the temperature control still does not change the AC.

    That van should push 33 degrees all day along. Anything over 40F is not good.

    Where is the leak? And are leaks for auto A/C systems generally shrugged off unless they're severe?

    Why not just bypass the low pressure control?

  • @rickjames6948
    @rickjames6948 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Lets chat shall we? 1.No vacuum today? Need a min 2 hour vacuum. 2.Connecting refrigerant tank. You purged the yellow charge hose, congrats. BUT your manifold, red and blue hoses had air/moisture inside. Should of opened the tank valve, Purged the blue hose at the adapter as well as the red hose at the adapter. NOW all your hoses and manifold are properly purged. 3.No need to open and close the low side valve like you did. Let her eat until you get 25psi on the low side. 4.Must rev to 1800rpm to get a proper pressure reading. As if you were driving down the road. 5.Must weigh in the charge.

    So where was the leak?

    • @JumpermanTech
      @JumpermanTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cant find the leak. Might be in the evaporator coil which is a lot to just get inside. Been topping off the charge every year or two. Sucks but maybe one day I'll check deeper for it. Lol. Glad this thing still works! This truck is from 2008👀
