I don’t really know why, but for some reason Alastor singing is just strangely satisfying to me. Like it has a very unique sound that I can’t really compare it to.
Anyone else notice alastor doesnt have his own song in the main series...its always a duet with someone else or hes butting in..his only actual song is in the pilot
That goes for way too many charachters tho. The only charachters that seem to actually get their own standalone songs in the series are: Angel Dust, Charlie and Adam. Husk's only song is a duet with Angel, Vaggie has 2 duets with Carmilla and the reprise of more than anything with Charlie, Pentious sings starts with sorry alongside charlie, Lucifer has a duet with Alastor and a duet with Charlie, Emily gets you didnt know which is riddled with people, Vox has a duet with Alastor, Carmilla has the duets with Vaggie AND Velvet, and finally, neither Cherry or Nifty get a song Having your own song is much more of an unique trait than not having one is, atleast in this series. This series EXCELS at duets so Im glad thats the case
With alastor I don’t think it’s useful to compare dragon ball Z power levels. Alastor would lose in a straight fight, but he would never put himself in a position to fight Lucifer straight on.
i like how the crew thinks Alastor is dead, and how Charlie immediately hugs the very dangerous demon when he comes back. i hope he actually utilizes the trust he has gained for something in the next season

To be honest i prefered alastors old voice at the begining but by the end the new one really won me over. And its mainly because of how flawlessly and smoothly he sings. I still kinda prefer the talking voice from the pilot cause it just has more texture but the new one is good too
Adam was funny but considering all the theories about him being a lot more then meets the eye, which seemingly have been proven false after his death. He's kind of a shallow character, but he's still entertaining

It just occurred to the main reason Alastor was so upset in the last song of his. Or at least what I think. The fact he almost died in a way that could’ve been seen as heroic or self-sacrificial, dying in a way he would NEVER want to. The man is a narcissist 100%, at that point the last thing you want someone to think is you died for their sorry ass. And put it into perspective how close he was biting it while stuck in a deal he DESPISES. If he’s gonna bamf out it’s gonna be on his terms not falsehoods of sacrifice.
He really took a step back to realize he almost died like THAT. Until then he thought this task would be a lot easier evidently, and didn't process how threatening the angels were until face to face with a powerhouse like adam. A blow to his ego if there ever was one. He got cocky and almost died as a helpful friend. He wants people to be terrified of him so hes gonna be doubling down to recover his rep.

Clearly, his microphone staff breaking was a big deal / a big blow otherwise he wouldn't have gotten so close to dying, and we haven't seen him use his typical voodoo powers without it. The only thing we've seen him do is interact with shadows like teleporting, but he hasn't yet pulled out the little voodoo gremlins or tentacles again, we don't know if he can still do that. In the last bit of the finale he's shown without his staff all the time, maybe it was a talisman meant to enhance his powers? Like a sort of arcane focus? Or maybe it was the actual source of a big chunk of his powers, kind of like Dr Facilier's gadgets, and he's a lot less threatening without it. We don't know yet, but it's interesting that he doesn't have it in the last part. We'll see where that will lead in season 2. And yeah, super agree with the OG comment pointing out why he's so bothered by the fact he almost died _"for his friends",_ the sheer embarrassment, the utter shame! Must keep up appearances of always being in control.... with a smile :)

Y’know one thing about all these scenes one after another…I wonder if Alastor’s deal is forcing him to work for Charlie’s benefit. Like a long time ago he made a deal with Lilith that if her daughter ever decided to strike out on a venture of her own, he’d use his power and status as an Overlord, gained through the power he got from his deal with Lilith, to work for Charlie’s benefit. That Charlie chose to try to redeem Sinners may have thrown both for a loop - Alastor probably figured that, as Princess of Hell, she’d probably be pretty twisted herself and he’d have little issue with whatever she wanted to do and that he’d have enough freedom to keep doing his thing as well. And I doubt Lilith had a better idea of what Charlie would do than Lucifer did. So Charlie’s rainbows and friendship approach to life threw everyone for a loop and put Alastor in a position he’s doing his best to take advantage of, but Charlie’s getting to him in a way he’s only realized after Adam almost killed him. It’s not much, it’s just a little bit, but realizing you almost died for people you thought you saw only as toys…I imagine that’d unsettle anyone, especially if he realized he actually cared a tiny little bit.
Yeah, it would be a shame is Alastor turned against them since they basically been together after the 7 years he was gone or so. But at the same time he might be waiting for the right moment to turn against them since he obviously hated the idea of dying for his friends, but yeah he definately has some care for them whether he likes it or not. And if he doesn't that song and his expressions say otherwise 😂

That Charlie chose to try to redeem Sinners may have thrown both for a loop - Alastor probably figured that, as Princess of Hell, she’d probably be pretty twisted herself and he’d have little issue with whatever she wanted to do and that he’d have enough freedom to keep doing his thing as well. And I doubt Lilith had a better idea of what Charlie would do than Lucifer did.
So Charlie’s rainbows and friendship approach to life threw everyone for a loop and put Alastor in a position he’s doing his best to take advantage of, but Charlie’s getting to him in a way he’s only realized after Adam almost killed him. It’s not much, it’s just a little bit, but realizing you almost died for people you thought you saw only as toys…I imagine that’d unsettle anyone, especially if he realized he actually cared a tiny little bit.
Yeah, it would be a shame is Alastor turned against them since they basically been together after the 7 years he was gone or so. But at the same time he might be waiting for the right moment to turn against them since he obviously hated the idea of dying for his friends, but yeah he definately has some care for them whether he likes it or not. And if he doesn't that song and his expressions say otherwise 😂

I also think he cares a tiny little bit only from that scene with nifty like “one could get accustomed to this”, it’s not much, and even if it is I assume it’s not enough 🤣 I think he will try to turn on them or do something on SE2.
