  • This week was all about wedding prep and spending quality time with my mom, who flew in to help me get everything ready. I needed her help so much, and she came through in every way possible!
On Saturday, we went to the tailor to get dresses made for the big day. Sunday was filled with family cooking-my mom wanted rice and stew, so I made it for her, and she treated me to some delicious Guyanese bake (she’s Guyanese, by the way!).
Monday, I had my wedding hair trial and took my wedding dress for a fitting. On Tuesday, we did my trial wedding makeup, attended cake tastings, picked up food, and then headed to the airport so my mom could make her way back to Florida.
I’m so grateful for her support during this exciting but hectic time!
