Watched lots of Darren's stuff, never realized though he was a victim of SA. When you've lived the life he has that is not an easy thing to admit, esp the circumstances surrounding it i.e his mother facilitating it, and in youth detention. Very sorry. It's very unfair that he's had his opportunities limited due to temporary lapses in temper. We all make mistakes. And that he still continues to represent the choose a life not a knife off his own back is nothing short of inspirational.
My heart goes out to you Darren, you have come so far. Xxx You are right about M Police. In 1984 my abuse was disclosed Police Detectives went to see my mother I went into care, she was never prosecuted. I thought I deserved it all. In 2010 my physiotherapist told me to get my social services records. In those records she admitted to sadistic physical & sexual abuse over a No of years. This knocked me side ways. I felt hurt,anger,betrayed by the very people who were supposed to help children. 2013 I gave files to M Police, I had to do a video interview again. 2014 Liverpool crown she was sentenced to 6yrs 8months. She served 2 was on licence until 2020 sex offenders reg for life. In july 2016 she was released Nov 2016 my daughter passed away (ynwa Hayley) in Jan 2019 I jumped of a motorway bridge. I have put this on here because I totally understand the pain Darren & many others go through. Be proud how far u have come Darren. Great interview

Thank goodness they re opened Nicky's case or David Boyd would never have been brought to justice and the poor guy who was wrongly accused would of been a suspect for the rest of his life I can't imagine what it must of been like for him to be living as a suspected child killer for over 30 years knowing he was innocent.

It's weird how someone can commit such atrocity but years later you can still respect them, i guess it's because deep down we like a reformed character. But taking of lives is not a light subject, it's the worst thing you can do in your existence, so they must also struggle and deal with it for the rest of their own lives.
I'm from Dublin and I have to admit that I quite like Darren, he's had an incredible hard life. However, it seems to me that somewhere in the background there is still the treat that Darren will use violence if he has to and that, qiute simply, does not work, not if you want true healing anyway.

I think it was more because the owner was acting erratic and not conplying with the police or attempting to calm his dogs down, winding his own dogs up even more.

He got 18 purely and simply because the sentencing guidelines changes in the early 2000s but he was sentenced on the old guidelines as per when he committed the crime. If he’d of done it now he’d of got a 30 rec simple as. He never gave any evidence against Moore, even John has admitted that himself.
