I had a genuine driveway moment yesterday with this song. Some magic got captured here. Thank you. I don't know when I've heard a more beautiful piece of music.
Trouble on my mind Trouble on my mind Trouble on my mind once again I feel it all the time I feel it all the time It's trouble on my mind once again And you know it when it comes and goes in a way Leaves you balancing Could it be a moment golden I wanna wanna why I never know it's happening And there's trouble on my mind Trouble on my mind Trouble on my mind once again And you know it when it holds you under away Cold and dying Moving in reverse slow motion I feel it's in my skin, oh, it's in a part of me Trouble on my mind Trouble on my mind It's trouble on my mind once again
Why.... why not keep it a Prairie home companion? 😓😓 Anyways... i will share my times... Every friday or saturday when i deliver pizza... i would listen to APHC throughout my shift.
I get it. But "live from Here" seems a weak, generic sounding title. It is apropo for a show that did move, and seems to be moving around more with these young folks. Maybe if Chris made some fun with the name; like "Where's Waldo?" Where is the tour bus/plane taking them Now? Love 'em all. Have seen some number of regulars who have appeared in the Western Mass neighborhood.(and Noam up in Brattleboro!)
I miss Garrison's storytelling ability and the story-centric show. That's what was so relaxing, warm, and unique. Now even the APHC name is gone. Love Chris Thile as a musician, but this show is just like listening to bluegrass/indie radio anymore. Put a story teller at the helm.
The Staves are one of the last bastions of music that is meant to touch and not to sell.

Trouble on my mind
Trouble on my mind
Trouble on my mind once again
I feel it all the time
I feel it all the time
It's trouble on my mind once again
And you know it when it comes and goes in a way
Leaves you balancing
Could it be a moment golden
I wanna wanna why I never know it's happening
And there's trouble on my mind
Trouble on my mind
Trouble on my mind once again
And you know it when it holds you under away
Cold and dying
Moving in reverse slow motion
I feel it's in my skin, oh, it's in a part of me
Trouble on my mind
Trouble on my mind
It's trouble on my mind once again
Just wow.
The winds at the end!

Garrison Keillor owns the name "A Prairie Home Companion." When Minnesota Public Radio fired him, the station had to come up with a new name.

You may be surprised to learn that as time passes, many things change.
