More over, it's been relatively easy to come across (in my daily research findings) examples of failures of this autocratic system (wherein power is consolidated by one person at the top[Putin]).
Thereby, creating a system where people within that system are afraid to speak truth to power - an inability for Russian Henchmen/Oligarchs to communicate to the Person at the top - openly, about the critical (pernicious) issues facing their country economically, militarily and technologically.
ie. An increasingly isolated and unaware Vladimir 'Presitator' Putin.

The diagram at at 2:00 is useful because many don't understand how commercial hydrocarbons are created from what is pumped out of the ground. 👍
And many people don’t realize how sophisticated the engineering is to get and maintain the right temperatures at the right heights in the column. The sensors and valves are made in the west and are under sanctions. Russia is going to have a very hard time fixing the damage.
@@martinedwards2004 About 1/3rd are using western technology (all the newer refineries). Cost-effective, A grade products. 2/3 are still on USSR technology. Expensive maintenance, but local spare parts available. Second grade products.

Great job on the latest news and funnies! The story about the Belarusian guy reminded me of one that I read from Canada. Some Canadian clown decided that he didn't like Canada because they didn't hate gays enough and they had too many rainbow flags, so he and his wife and 10 kids moved to Russia. Russia promptly froze his assets for some technical reason, so he started posting TH-cam videos dissing the Russian government. Russia deported him, of course. It would've been even funnier if Canada refused to take him back, and told him to move to Iran or Uganda if he hates gays so much.
