I think only the most naive would say her voice was still the same as it was in 1969. She was older, & had been through a very rough time. But her voice never lost that quality that made it so unique...

She said she could nt use contacts because of cat hair from her beloved ever present cats.

The missing verse you're referring to ("Stephen's in his dressing gown...") was also omitted from her other live performances of this song (like when she did it on TOTP).

this is not the studio recording of the track she must have recorded this early on in the day and sang over it coz it was a live show the vocals here was recorded live you can tell but thats what happened in the 80s pre recorded the track early in the day then sang over it later when the show went out live

All different & beautiful voices, but Dusty trumped them all with her sophistication, diversity of voice, song, & genre....interpretation, delivery, emotion, complexity, etc., etc. Her peers knew it, & if they were big enough, they admitted it publicly. She was unparalleled.....simply empyrean....deriving from & belonging to Heaven.
