I love Missy! As close to perfection as a woman, a musician and a Mum. Whilst I’ve never had the pleasure to meet her personally, she will always be my forever friend connected thanks to her amazing musical talent.

One of the things that sets Missy apart from all the others is the passion with which she sings. I can instantly recognize her voice and style, where others may sound alike. Whether she sings about love or something else, the passion and the fire is always there. What a remarkable talent...and yes, a beautiful, complex, caring woman. She has my admiration and all the love I can send her way.

The Old American Guy is still listening, have been since 2006 when I first heard her on a flight from Indiana to California. Still has the voice of an angel and the talent of a young Stevie Wonder.

Her voice and power and musical soul has evolved/matured since then.
its always a cycle. I hear a new song that she has (I mean REALLY listen), and then I dive into the lyrics, and I am never let down. Between her gorgeous voice and the endearing lyrics, my heart can only handle so much! lol
this song contains the promise of a fiercely loyal young girl that made a naive mistake and seeks counsel from her elders in order to fix what she did. "if by chance you change your mind, I will not let you down" is such a powerful line.
There is some undefinable quality about her that really stands out from other artists.

Not one day has past without me playing this song. I am so proud to be Australian! Melissa is the only person able to cheer me up using thier voice. I was pretty much half dead when I couldn't go to see you in Busselton, even though I live 35km's away. I felt like running and jumping the fences of the oval to see you. You are so insperational. ♥

While I agree with the rest of your post, a little unfair to say she's the ONLY musician that injects as much passion into her singing, don't ya think? (and if she truly happens to be the only one you know of, well all I can say is you need to expand your listening base a bit ;)
I heard that Missy is by so anyone with what turns her on is in with a good chance! If I was lucky enough to go there it would be the first time another woman wasn't welcome, I am sure I could tame this extradinary talented young LADY!
