  • You can get UAE Transit Visa from ETIHAD in 1 day! We took free 48 hours transit visa for Abu Dhabi Airport from the Etihad website. Now it costs 55 AED. We traveled with WizzAir though, so you do not need to travel using Etihad for this visa. The application is processed by Etihad for all nationalities including Indians, Pakistanis, etc. The application takes under 5 mins to fill and is processed in 1-2 days.
    We availed this 48 hours transit visa for UAE for our trip to Armenia. Please note that to apply for this in the Etihad portal, it is a must that you have your flight ticket to Abu Dhabi and from the same port (Abu Dhabi) to a 3rd destination.
    Our tip if you are flying without hand bags and have Schengen visa/residence permit - While going to India, you can easily take this transit visa of UAE and fly using WizzAir for cheap from Europe to Abu Dhabi and then take a cheap flight to India from Dubai/Abu Dhabi using Indigo or any other airline.
    Feel free to contact us if you need further details or clarifications on this visa. This information holds true as of June 2024. Please confirm the same during your travel.

      @@indoexplorers I have recently acquired Portuguese Citizenship through descent.
      I had read online that after acquiring citizenship I have 3 months during which I can travel using my Indian passport, that is only if I don't also have my Portuguese Passport at that time.
      I only have my Portuguese Citizen Card (Cartão de Cidadão) right now, it is not a residence permit per say, but it's a national ID card that proves that you are actually a citizen.
      According to what I have read on the Portuguese government website, if an EU citizen is traveling from a non-Schengen country, they will need to present an ID card or passport. The chatbot on their website also did say that I can travel to Portugal with my Indian passport and Portuguese citizen card.
      I had asked about the UAE transit visa thing because my agent said that I'll have to apply for a UAE tourist visa and that he'll book my flights from UAE directly to Portugal. I'm not sure but this may be due to airline staff and immigration officers in India not allowing me to board since I have an Indian passport and no Portuguese visa and only a citizen card(which they might or might not be aware of, that it can be used as a proof of citizenship and hence to travel to Portugal) if I were to book a normal flight from India to Portugal. Apparently, at the Dubai airport they accept the citizen card. I had asked about the UAE transit visa since it was cheaper than a tourist visa and you also didn't have to show hotel bookings.

    With a transit visa can i get off the airport and stay in Dubai and then come back to the same Abu Dhabi airport within 48 hours to board next flight?
    If yes , then what's the difference between Transit and Tourist Visa? Only numebr of days stay and choose any airport in dubai?

    • @indoexplorers
      @indoexplorers  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, as long as you land and take off at Abu Dhabi, you are free to explore anywhere - you can go to Dubai and spend time there.
      Diff. is number of days and restriction in port of entry/exit.

      I have a couple of question please 😅.
      Not sure if you have experienced it or not.
      Suppose I'm travelling Rome -> Abu Dhabi -> Bangalore.
      Rome -> Abu Dhabi is 1st ticket with PNR1
      Abu Dhabi -> Bangalore is 2nd ticket with PNR2
      Layover is more than 8 hours at Abu Dhabi.
      Will Etihad provide the Transit Visa?
      While applying I see there is only 1 input box to enter Booking Reference, so which tickets reference to provide?
      And do I have to have both the Etihad tickets?

    • @indoexplorers
      @indoexplorers  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@TuhinChakrabortyRony Sure, Etihad will issue the visa to you in this case! Even if the PNRs are different and the carriers aren’t Etihad in either PNR, you’re eligible for a 48 hours transit visa. You can add the booking reference of the ticket into Abu Dhabi, but attach both the tickets.
