Summary: 1. Instead of memorizing, highlight 2. Use method of loci/mind map 3. Use visual memory for whatever you have highlighted 4. Hang the memory with furniture of your house and create a story picture with it 5. Each room represent a chapter or 10 points a room 6. Create picutre for a date e.g. march to remmeber march/stride for history
What i recently found useful was , three steps : 1. Understand the concept with full concentration 2. Write it out in your own words , like teaching someone or yourself 3. Record an audio of explaining yourself whatever you had written And now after few days if you take and read the notes along with audio , it just takes less time to recall everything and obviously it stays in your mind for long Note: for all this you need to actually study and have interest in studying
I’ve used palace technique in our midterm and man. I rembered the 24 pages of each subject. I feel so confident that time and my brain just works and recall everything which is very awesome and helpful. ❤️ But right now, our finals is tomorrow and memorizing without understanding what you’re reading is very hard. So I came across of your video which also involve a memory palace and how can I use it more than just memorizing. Thank youu. ❤️❤️
I'm starting college in January and I've been binge watching college videos on a plethora of topics including notetaking, studying, and memorization. Thank you so much sir for this video. I will definitely be utilizing these techniques.❤
Use past lived in houses. Routes that you took to school/ work and any of places (especially routes) that you should know very well. They can be very old memories too, as you normally don't forget these memories unless your neurons degenerate.
Me: (eyes closed sitting in front of my wife) Wife: what are you doing? Me: recording info in my head. Wife: (looks at me like wtf?) Me: yeah, so i created a room and in the table I am placing a... Wife: would you mind emptying the dishwasher?
Omg, you know what? I've used this technique when I was at school without even realizing that it has a name. It was my and my friend's thing only and it worked so naturally. It was really helpful and we had so much fun studying this way. I thought we created it. What a bummer. But now that I'm a university student and need this method the most I just lost my ability to create those pictures in my mind.
We are already in the big crash, Inflation is a catastrophe. This CPI report is a colossal failure. To bring the housing market to a halt, the FED will have to pull all the stops. The unfortunate issue is that other markets are being decimated. If you want to stay green, you have to rely on a lot of diversification. Currently up 14% and being careful. Still a better deal than leaving it in a savings or checking account yielding 0-1 percent interest.
People believe their currency has the worth it does because they have no other option. Even in a hyper-inflationary environment, individuals must continue to use their hyperinflationary currency since they likely have minimal access to other currencies or gold/silver coins.
Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to that fact any money you keep in cash or in a low-interest account declines in value each year. Investing is the only way to make your money grow and unless you have an exceptionally high income, investing is the only way most people will ever have enough money to retire.
@@Wellingtonluzia3 You are right! I diversified my 450K portfolio across various market with the aid of an investment coach, I have been able to generate a little bit above 1.3m in net profit across high dividend yield stocks, ETF and bonds during this red season.
To memorize things. You need to tap into a part of the brain that we actually use daily. You remember what you focus on with sincere interest. You remember what happened in a movie you watched once in the 90's
As a teacher, I have begun teaching the loci method to my students. Wish my teachers would have known about this when I was growing up, but better late than never. It's almost unfair how much easier and less tedious it is to remember new information compared to rote memorizing. Thanks for sharing this wonderful knowledge. You are doing a great thing!
There's a difference between memorizing general knowledge, and memorizing information and then applying it all the time, in huge quantities. The memory contests involve memorizing useless information including number sequences etc, for those who are in science/medicine/law, I don't know how valuable making memory palaces would be when you need to apply specific knowledge very quickly in specific situations, not sit around thinking for 10 minutes where a specific fact is in a mind palace. But for lots of random useless information and numbers, maybe it works fine.
Mind palace is just a technique to store the data, and what's good about it that when you forget about something you go back to your mind palace in order to find it, you forgot it anyways and Id rather think for 10 minutes than assume I forgot. But otherwise the data is just in your head and you can use whenever (from my own personal exprerience it took me less than 2 minutes to remember things I forgot)
It is better if we remember things in image as our brain tends to keep memory that has more details. Eg: colours/emotion/sound/smell. It's the best if we can combine these with the image that we want to memorize. Brain can't differentiate between important or unimportant memories. It only looks like it's harder because of the amount of work you have to put into it. One of the best ways humans remember things is through associations, so it's logical to assume that if you ingrain such a technique that is conceptually revolved around association you'll be able to remember things much better. The catch is that it'll be more of a short term thing unless you take time to rehearse the rooms for whatever things you're trying to memorize.

Ronnie, using memory palaces have helped me to score higher on exams for medical school, especially when trying to memorize pharmacology requiring us to memorize the crazy names of drugs. Since all we do is study and memorize in medical school, in about 2 weeks, I feel like I've used up every symbol and place I know well enough to be used as a memory palace. Any tips? How would you approach being in medical school if you were to do it knowing what you know about memorization techniques? There's so much to memorize and sometimes just staying focused can be tough as well. Thanks in advance. Will be going through your videos on 2x speed for the next hour.
I have a question about something. My daughter is a teenager, and she loves to read, however; when it comes to biology and chemistry, and business subjects and math things can take a while to learn and the work they have to do for school at home, takes a while, and test is harder to pass if they have to do it the next day. what makes it ever more complicated for her is that they have to use the programs on the computer, or only the website they were given on the computer. The physical book is no longer available to them, everything has to be done mental, no paper or pencils. What would be a way for them to mentally store the subjects that are new to them if they can no longer use books. As these are advanced classes, where the teen is taking college courses but getting lower grades, because they do not provide books to take home anymore, like back in the day, when I went to high school over 20 years ago.
What if you need to memorize something word by word like a poem. how can I memorize words that cannot be replaced or the structure of a verse or a sentence?
Sherlock Holmes is a fictional character. The fastest way to absorb information is if it interests you. Also it is known that high dopamine levels are associated with good memory. So if you want to boost your memory you should do things that rise your dopamine levels like sport, eating healthy, getting rid of addictions, etc.
but bro i have recently read that dopamine is a an enzyme which is released when we do activities for short time pleasure.......but serotonin is what we need ...it gives us long time pleasure....
How could we apply these techniques to fiction? I enjoy writing stories, and it would be invaluable to me to be able to draw upon other works that I have read for a detailed archive of how great writers solved particular problems or even just to build a database of what's been done. For fun, imagine how we could take every mystery we read to a-whole-nother-Sherlockian-level.
Great video, Ron! But I have questions though. What do I need to do if I read a 300 pages long book? and since I have little objects and I wouldn't have time to make like 500 objects or more, if I re-use them, sometimes I would forget the original images. In addition, if I just can't remember my stories or locations then I would just lost almose all the info I want to have memorised. Please advice. Thanks for your great videos and keep up your good work :D
I have the same question. Another consideration is, how many mind palaces will you need? You might need 400 rooms. Do you invent the palaces or find real life ones??
I was thinking my way of memorizing sucks and I need a new way as I was so demotivated..after this video I was motivated that my method Is not that difficult tq for this video
I forget a lot of things. For example, if i go to the kitchen, iforget about what I want, forget where i put things sometimes, forget the names of shops, people, keep forgetting
What i learned from this video:- Abraham Lincoln Abraham Lincoln 16th president Abraham Lincoln penny Abraham Lincoln in furniture Abraham Lincoln picture
In last 365 days I read more than 100 books from Bhagvat Geeta to Steve jobs bio . These 6 method works. It will take several years to develop habit but will work if you have patience

He told us the most effective way of memorizing with almost 5 minutes
This was great. Have been reading Jonathan Levi's "The Only Skill That Matters" and this has really cemented some of the concepts I learned. Thanks!
Is the book you have mentioned worth buying? Can you please explain a bit about it's pros and cons?
idk why do I come across these videos when I am about to take a test the day after but I literally have no idea about what I am studying...
I just imagine what Im reading
+Chelsea Alsina Me Too
+Chelsea Alsina And It Just Works Fine...
impossible read a book without imagine
+AngelLove I Agree I Noticed That If You Think Nothing When Reading Than It Will Memorizes Faster
l am going to tein
Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but this just makes the list of things to remember longer and more overwhelming. Also slows reading speed drastically if I'm taking the time to highlight and come up with wordplay.
You highlight as you read you don’t try to memorize as you read . Understand as you read and memorize your notes after
OMG I got 100% in my test..... Wow! It's a miracle I can't believe .....Thank you so much for sharing, may God bless you...
I’ve heard something similar to this in a ted talk.
This is more confusing for me 😂 harder to memorize. I might just as well draw our table and refrigerator 😆
It take a bit of work but it is worth it
@@Brainathlete thank you. How i wish to also use this method effectively. I'm actually currently learning korean language. I just wanna figure out how to quickly remember all about grammar concepts and vocabularies in my long-term memory
One of the most useful channel on youtube.
I am so bad at remembering that I couldn't even remember that I had already seen this video before. Not just seen this video but also had subscribed this guy's channel. I'm a lost cause.
If you are a student use the things and furnitures you see in your classroom..these helps you recall more during exams.
Will be going through your videos on 2x speed for the next hour.
m1kek1m this is what I’m going to college for too? What state do you live in?
SSSHH""""TTTT Im going to need a house
A palace*
Thank you for the tips and tricks! Really needed them! Have a great day! God Bless!
Thank you so much
So far when I'm intrested in learning or remembering something then I remember it but when I stress about remembering something thats when I forget
Mom: what are you-
Me: I see a penny driving a car around the fridge and shouting my lessons
Mom: I need an appointment for my daughter please
What if you need to memorize something word by word like a poem. how can I memorize words that cannot be replaced or the structure of a verse or a sentence?
Use a vocabulary notebook book it is easier to recall new words
I hate it when we have to do complicated stuff just to memorize a sentence..
If only our minds are stronger
Well 7 year's later and i found this very good cause i got up coming test🥴🥴
Sherlock Holmes is a fictional character. The fastest way to absorb information is if it interests you. Also it is known that high dopamine levels are associated with good memory. So if you want to boost your memory you should do things that rise your dopamine levels like sport, eating healthy, getting rid of addictions, etc.
but bro i have recently read that dopamine is a an enzyme which is released when we do activities for short time pleasure.......but serotonin is what we need ...it gives us long time pleasure....
Teacher: Here read this book!
Me: Ah... Ok
5 Mins Later....
Me: finished!
Teacher: Good what have you read
Me: ...............
True story
TerribleTracerTV it is good
How could we apply these techniques to fiction? I enjoy writing stories, and it would be invaluable to me to be able to draw upon other works that I have read for a detailed archive of how great writers solved particular problems or even just to build a database of what's been done. For fun, imagine how we could take every mystery we read to a-whole-nother-Sherlockian-level.
Sam Reeves there is a book called accelerated learning...
Thanks, +Remus.
Remus Ovidiu Hutu do u think that i will read a book for remembering fast just before the 2 days of exam??😂😂👊
What if I don't live in a mansion? what do I do then!?
Alejandro Andrés Hernández school, work your family or friends house combine rooms and familiar places
not many of us live in a mansion either lol.
Alejandro Andrés Hernández think of someone who does (my friend)
Alejandro Andrés Hernández yes
Alejandro Andrés Hernández simple! an imaginary mansion, its cheap
(but even more complicated than a maths problem)
I have used this method for years and it works. This video is a crazy fast introduction to the concept, however.
I fully agree. Visualising. Associating, no matter how silly it may be.
Man you love furniture don't you? 😂
😂
Hey, thanks for this! Very educational and informative! I look forward to seeing more of your videos! You just earned a new subscriber! :)
Who else are watching this before studying for your exams😀
Adrahamb penny was born on a couch in the palace derby 0n kentucky the 16th. Nailed it!
thank u soooooo much for subtitles with proper commas, dots and grammar 🙏🙏❤!!
very helpful in making notes 🙏
Great video, Ron! But I have questions though. What do I need to do if I read a 300 pages long book? and since I have little objects and I wouldn't have time to make like 500 objects or more, if I re-use them, sometimes I would forget the original images. In addition, if I just can't remember my stories or locations then I would just lost almose all the info I want to have memorised. Please advice. Thanks for your great videos and keep up your good work :D
I have the same question. Another consideration is, how many mind palaces will you need? You might need 400 rooms. Do you invent the palaces or find real life ones??
There is no limit to what you can store in your mental pigeonholes..
That's definitly not possible for college Students like me memorizing 30 Pages for the exams
Bitch I wish I was you
Just 30? For me it's over 250 pages each subject.
30 ain't nothing
Are you joking 😂 you are so lucky. 😅I've to memorize 4000 pages to pass my exam.
@@manaraljidi8030 You must be stupid af if you "memorize" 4000 pages.
Hey Ron great video! How many times can you reuse the same room to collect data? Or is it a one time use memory palace?
I was thinking my way of memorizing sucks and I need a new way as I was so demotivated..after this video I was motivated that my method Is not that difficult tq for this video

what if i ran out of furniture....mind mapping technique is also good...one can use that
I forget a lot of things. For example, if i go to the kitchen, iforget about what I want, forget where i put things sometimes, forget the names of shops, people, keep forgetting
