I think of Danny Dyer made it clear he wanted to go forever, they would have killed him off. But they’ve kept it very ambiguous
He isnt all that to be honest. Ive seen him in other stuff and he doesnt pull it off like he did Micks character. He was ok in The Business but I had never heard of him till he came in to this. I watched the Business after he came in to this x
Everyone is saying "Mick is dead" but with no body the death is ambiguous and most likely deliberate so there is always the possibility of Mick returning, just like Dirty Den when he was shot at the canal, he eventually returned.

I don't know If I do, I really liked Mick at first and how he was introduced as a real family man, having a good relationship with Linda and always being there For His kids but in the last 1-2 years before his disappearance I think they ruined his character. Even Danny Dyer was kinda unhappy about It I've Heard Him Say in interviews, Mick being with Janine was such a mess, it was a pretty good storyline at one point but It went on for too long. Wish we could got to see Mick Back With Linda for slightly longer after Christmas to rekindle their love, shame that It only lasted half an episode

I agree because if he didn't drown he would come back and makes no sense why the police stopped looking for his body that's like gray Atkins kills tina and gets rid of her where mick went missing they would find out just shows that the police are terrible and even if mick was alive nobody would want anything to do with him after being gone all this time so is safe to say he is died
They deliberately didn’t show his body because they wanted to leave the window open for Danny Dyer to return in the future if he wishes to. Mick is easily one of the most well known and loved characters in EastEnders so it makes sense to leave his condition ambiguous
