Gerald Chamberlain #76, the Everett Express!!! Bobby Gerhart Sr. #54, Al Tasnady #44, Dick Tobias #17, Buzzie Reutimann #00, Freddy Adam #8, Kenny Brightbill #19, Jackie Evans #77 . I could go on and on remembering the Reading modifieds and their drivers.
Yup, this Gerald Chamberlain's car, great modified dirt track driver all time. It was the car he raced at Reading, he was a track champion there, probalbly Nazareth, Flemington in NJ as well.
WOW , Gerald Chamberlains big block modified. One of the legendary Modifieds of it's time with it's driver and car owner. Sure are a lot of commentaries that do not know SQUAT about the Northeast Big Block Modifieds and tracks that they raced such as Reading Fairgrounds in Pa. and the Nazareth 1/2 mi. and D shaped mile and insane Langhorne Pa. and the Syracuse N.Y. Fairgrounds. Too bad most of you missed them. When racing WAS racing and fights in the pits were the norm.
@Josca123 steering wheel is in a perfect position. if you look its off of the steering colum so you can get in. its a splined wheel and you just pull it off if you need to get out in a hurry.
Dirts for racing.asphaltsfor getting it there.come to iowa for the best sprint car racing at Knoxville. Everyone against the Pa posse lol.they raise hard drivers in the NE for sure.love the old mods and super mods and late models to
LOL, I think that thing violates noise ordinances two towns over. That's loud! I love it. Johnny Lightning makes something similar in 1:64th scale, with a 1950 Chevy coupe body. Only it doesn't sound as good as this! =)
@MrSheperd007 You should check your prescription glasses again...I seen blinkers on the front and rear. They aren't the huge ones that you see on cars these days, but they are there!
@HusseFrassin Because why do you drive around the block REALLY slow when you have 427 that probably pushes about 450 to 500 hp. We had a 427 in a 69 chevelle that pushed 510 to 525hp.
@Jheadley21 I got passed by two dirt modifieds with the same body style in Auburn, NY a few summers ago driving down the main drag right by a cop and he didn't touch them.
He made the video for people who might want to BUY the thing, since that's what he does for a living. Not for retards who get off on tire smoke and carnage. "Collector Cars" usually means the target audience would NOT like seeing the seller flogging the machine and ripping up the tires. It's his investment, not a toy. You, of course can do as you like with it...after you put the cash on the barrelhead.
seems like it would be fun to race your street legal dirt car against my street legal IMCA Modified Where are you located ? Search Davids modified and see what you think. David
I want to do this witha 70's era Pinto or Vega modified. My plan is to bring it to Cruise nights, car shows, cars & coffee etc and let kids have a picture taken in it. Any donations will go to Ovarian Cancer Research in honor of my Mother in law. Any help or suggestions would be great. Thanks
Like the car doesn't attract enough attention already let alone acting the R.I.C.E. way by doing burnouts... (Radically Immature Car Enthusiast)=rice... we just called 'em squirrels.
Sounds good but, you need to drive it better. Who is driving your grandpa I mean whats the point of the car if your not gonna go fast. Cool car though!

Have u forgotten to use the accelerator peddle bro? come on u dont show a badass car and not do a burnout or mash it. take this on off or make another one and redeem urself please
Definitely not street legal in Canada....no fenders, noisy exhaust (note he did not open it up to hear it), Cockpit is open which allows fumes inside.........Did not wear his seatbelt....
One of my favorites in Reading, back in the day. Beautiful!!

I remember when this car ran at the Reading Race Track back in the 70's...loved it then, love it now!
Gerald Chamberlain ruled reading back in the day. this was one of a few cars he had. love seeing it brought back to life.

This is one of best looking vehicle
Awesome...I have a 31 model A 5 Window modified coupe I plan on streeting. Nice machine man.
@Josca123 steering wheel is in a perfect position. if you look its off of the steering colum so you can get in. its a splined wheel and you just pull it off if you need to get out in a hurry.

looks just like geralds car you from the northeast or you just like northeast modifieds
Cool !!! Merry Christmas !!!
@arand4 many places have loop holes in the laws and classic cars almost always find a way into those loop holes.
car was owned by big daddy Joe Bullock of Warrington pa
@nathan00campbell i dont think it's legal running a straight headers, maybe 1936 car doesn't need emission test but it's still hella loud

my dad did this exact thing with his car (he has a 38 plymoth coupe)

These "street legal" cars depends on what state you're in.
it looks like daytona or some were in fl.
@@consciouscoma85 Yeah, looks like it. I know Illinois used to require fenders, muffler, windshield, etc., not sure about today.
@@consciouscoma85 I have seen people riding in cars in Fla. without most body-panels, mostly just a chassis. Gotta be Florida.
the body is off a 36 that's all my dad raced the same style cars in the early 80s
This just doesn't cut it dude. Highway hauling is the ticket so lets cruise.
gerold chamberlins dirt mod... too bad its not leading the pack and now its barly crawling around tthe block...
back when hot hot rodding what home done eh?
Where's this at ? I see palm trees
It's real cool but I'd like to see it roaring down the highway instead of putting around in first gear.
@MrSheperd007 go back to 1:30, it shows his turn signals
whats the point of having a hot rod if you cant drive 150+?
If I drove that on the street, I would be grinnin like an idiot non stop! B¬)

@gordonrox101 yea you can se them at 1:42
Where's the number plate? if its that thing in the back its not very legal, Its behind the rollcage and there is none in the front part
Not every state uses a front plate , Florida for example and there's palm trees
Good grief stand on it before all the plugs foul out!!
HOW ABOUT MAYNARD TROYERS MODIFIED BY DANNY WILMES (ROCHESTER NY)
Why don`t you get on it a little bit? Like for what it`s made for!
hell yeh put it on the track where it belongs
I thought the doors had to open to get plates. Do they not?
Depends on what state you're in.
needs to run it on the highway !
How much does it weigh?
why what a waste of fuckin time if you want to drive it drive it on a track and don't hold back
I can watch but I can't listen because the audio quality is awful.
it only a 30s body shell not a 30s race car
Can i run my 800hp dirt late model on the road......how?
install headlights, taillights, turn signals and get it registered for the street.
thats in ob right by the noodle house
Like the car doesn't attract enough attention already let alone acting the R.I.C.E. way by doing burnouts... (Radically Immature Car Enthusiast)=rice... we just called 'em squirrels.
Love it! But he needs to this sucker out of the 'burbs... highway? hell, no... back country dirt roads!
even if it was streetlegal...me driving it would outlaw it :( the streets would look repaved from all the black rubber on them :)
@Josca123 uhm cause its fuckin loud?
burnouts are for drivers that don't know how to corner.
Sounds good but, you need to drive it better. Who is driving your grandpa I mean whats the point of the car if your not gonna go fast. Cool car though!
Why are they blocking the headers from you sight? That is not a 427!
From .19 thru .35 you can see the headers and they are most definitely big block .
this video would be so cool if only the driver took his tampon out first
dam rat..sounds good..
Just about the worst venue to be "showing off" such a car.
it's like watching my grandma drive to church...boring...at least jump on it ...very disappointing.

how can this car be street legal, to be street leagl it must have wheel arches as far as I know
It's Florida no state inspection and no state income tax....it's a free red state!
Have u forgotten to use the accelerator peddle bro? come on u dont show a badass car and not do a burnout or mash it. take this on off or make another one and redeem urself please
All you did was drive around the block****
I want 3 minutes of my life back ! dude roast the tires or something really ?

Well that was cool but boring all my
