@@datraphiel good catch, I tried this out earlier and it does indeed work. Sadly the beta is ending soon and we'll need to wait some more to play again
Yeah, this guy and Griffted really taught me the ways of horn in world. Seems he is going to do the same for wilds! Also I hope to see some wilds content from you, this mh is looking good on first impressions.
I went from a lance main to a total hh main in world, it became my new most played and horn main in rise too. Now, in wilds im honestly tempted to go double horn depending on the song choices. And watching your videos when i first picked up was another reason, your vidoes got me hooked and the more i learned how to play the weapon the more fun i had and better i became. And seeing people call it a support weapon, even though it looked too cool to be one. But i found out it was actually a support weapon. I support the monster to its grave. Now im here again learning more and wanting to play wilds even more :,) 4 more months to go. Thank you always and i hope i get to run into you in wilds so we can doot on the monsters!
When I first decided to try out hunting horn in world, it was your channel that taught me everything. Years later, HH is my second most played weapon, and it's set to be my main in Wilds... and you still have new things to teach me. Here's to more fantastic hunts in the future. o7
Something else it took me a second to learn about Offset Melody: if you hold the input, you can delay the timing of the attack until you let go. Super useful to a beginner like me who dodges too early a lot, though maybe over time I won't need it since I'd get used to the timing.
Yall helped me level up from being a kid messing around on a DS to really know my movement in 5th gen and have used your monster dodge guides for many others struggling notably in Iceborne. So happy to see you on my subfeed again.
look man loved your vids and learned a lot from the world videos back then, but your calm tone and chill music really makes it hard for me to not fall asleep! lol
Dude, I master the HH in WI thanks to your battledance videos. The background music clicks on me instantly 😂. Wilds HH looks phenomenal, after the mess they did with Rise I'm really happy.
bro i swear this morning I was literally thinking "it would be cool if MHPH made a HH guide for Wilds... but it's been like 3 years". As a new Fil-Am HH hunter who bought Iceborne a week ago to prep for Wilds, and has been greatly helped by your videos, thank you. Please do more!
Amazing tips brother, knew we could count on you coming back for this game. Thank you for all your useful videos in the past, looking forward to a lot more in the future!
I've been playing HH in Wilds for the whole beta and didn't notice the new moves for queuing notes. Thanks for this guide, can't wait for Wilds to be out!
I just started watching your videos and I’m been playing monster Hunter world and listening to your content and trying to perfect my craft in the ways of the just seeing how the hunting horn change so drastically better from world to wild we eating next year
Great to see you back! Looked for a video earlier and thought you abandoned us 😭 Please do a short or a video about Offset Melody activation and timing bc Im getting cooked using it.
@@Valkirth Yeah the point is just that you can do it early with Trianle+Circle, so if your opening is about to end you can trigger the encore even if you haven't played all of your songs.
@@Valkirth I believe R2 to encore only works if you're currently playing the last song on your queue. Otherwise, R2 defaults to Performance Beat. Its best to simply get used to TRI+CIRC as the new encore now as it is applicable at all times.
Didnt know a lot of these. Also just found out there's a third smash attack if you press forward + yellow attack after doing a ground pound. It goes forward instead of backwards
You can also control the angle of attack for that one by combining the Focus Aim technique, though the maximum turn rate is only around 150 degrees and not a full 180
Is it me, or does the qtab seem a bit off? The trajectory seems off; like i have to aim it a little different now. The timing seems off as well; i found myself slightly delaying the inputs in wilds.
Only thing I didn't knew was being able to B or YB when drawing your weapon, no more stoping for a sec on purpose just to not add a Y Also, I'm pretty sure you can resume the recital after using the offset melody by pressing RT again
I thought I did the mh rise wirebug move that made you dash forward and attack, but I didn't know how I did it. I'm now looking through guides to see how I might have done it, but no one seems to be talking about it so now i'm wondering if I was just mistaken.
Kinda embarassing, but I wish you have a tutorial on howto execute the moves that you mentioned in your videos. Thank you for making this video by the way.
I’ve got 2 questions. What is the time of for the performance slap attack? Is it right before the song activates or right after? I’ve gotten mixed results. And is this footage on pc or ps5?
I recorded this on PC. For the timing, its actually very forgiving and you need to time it with the attack sound. My advice is to not base on visual cues and listen to the ryhthm of the hh song instead. Tap your foot if you have to hahahah

Definitely possible but I'd imagine it would be quite tedious to do. I think Attack Up lasts less than 3 minutes though I haven't fully checked on this.
@@Taxman_HH I was thinking this might be worth it if you manage to slot in Horn Maestr.. You can queue the notes en route and either play before engaging the monster or just roll with the HH and get a few hits in while buffing, only later switching to your main weapon.
Since the Attack Up Song is heavily nerfed on yourself, this probably isn't worth it. Self Improvement also doesn't carry over to the other Weapon. Attack Up gives like 5% more Dmg when Encored. Self Improvement gives 20% more Dmg. Speaking of Self Improvement, I really hope they buff the Movement Speed.... I feel like a slug compared to the older games.
I dont think i like the echo bubbles. It makes me feel like i have to spam that move to have them and be optimal. And then the monster runs away. also i really miss the longer recitle times of world.
There was something I couldn't figure out. I think it only happened when you had multiple songs queued. After you hit R2 and your character does the attack he/she would then move the sax into a different playing position then play the first song. Does anyone know if there's a way to cancel the movement after the attack, or do it on purpose (sometimes you want the extra time for positioning). I think it depends on which directonal input recital you do.
Do you mean when the hunter puts the horn in front? When pressing R2 without a direction the hunter will play the song and release a little sound wave behind themself. But if you press forward before your hunter starts to play the song, it will use a bit of time to position the horn forward so that the song will be played in front of the hunter. I think this is to encourage doing a forward recital after a forward slam to immediately have the horn in front of you. Let me know if this helps

buffs have 2 levels, when you activate them first time, you get yellow buff, if you cast this song again (or encore, what basically is activating song again), your buff will level up and become purple R2 is just additional attack between casting songs, you can stop casting and encore already played songs by Y+B (triangle + circle) if you have to play+encore only part of songs, or just smash R2 in the end of queue, it will be encore instead of performance beat
@@chitorite so i'm not losing any damage by not waiting for the end of the queue to encore? i thought it was maybe a gimmick, like "are u gonna take the risk to play everything before using encore to have max benefit or not?" XD good to know i've been playing "right" at least, thank you !
