I'd say, this is probably one of the best episodes you've made. Between the cast, crew, writing, SFX, and everything else.

@@Potemkin1711 Hey, you folks are a total class act. I wish I owned the IP to Star Trek, so I could give you the sets, props, and everything else you deserve, and make your adventures fully canon. They deserve to be - they (at least to me) capture the feel and essence of Star Trek.

"Protect my ship!" Where have we heard that sentiment before? They must serve that up with every meal and every lesson at Starfleet Academy. Stone sounds like a good Captain.

I love the diversity of the various crew compliments over all the years.
I like the ethical questions that are raised here. Even though the results were so damaging, lust for power drives man to repeat their errors again and again. Where we are on Earth at this moment proves the case. In Wrath of Kahn David couldn't resist the same temptation and Genesis was unstable and destructive. A thoughtful episode. I hope the crew got to warn the colonists so they don't think they were abandoned. Who knows if they had anyone with the expertise to interpret what occurs.

There has to be some way to repair subspace. Maybe they haven't found the way, but that doesn't mean it can't be done. Given enough time, I'm sure they could find a way. Unlike the Vulcans, once all logical avenues have been exhausted, humans will explore illogical avenues until they find a solution.
Very good episode. Thanks for sharing.

The Federation doesn't appear to have the technology or science until the conclusion of ST:TNG's "All Good Things" and even then, I suspect it's a bandaid.

I have to agree with one other comment that I read here moments ago. This was a very well written and acted out episode. Perhaps if the new Picard series writers were to see it they might contact Ms. Avalon to do some writing for their series as well.

I don't know how thrilled Me. Avalon will be with what they do to her script. There needs to be 2 stories for an episode. Some scripts are totally rewritten. If you have the compendium for TNG, DS9, VOY, you find out about the behind the scenes decisions that are made.

Once more my Potemkin family makes a smart show that makes us wanting more and proving great star trek does not have to be expensive, you just have to love star trek and tell an amazing story. Which Ms. Avalon did in this episode. I love that ALL of the female characters in Potemkin shows are as strong, or in many cases, stronger than the men they work with. This is my first episode with Captain Stone, I am impressed. Keep up the amazing work!

Nicely done people. I for one know how long it takes to get this to video. I have also done some Tos Star Trek short hopefully funny videos. Back drops pictures and green screen can be very tricky and really hard to make it look right.Would be great to have a studio, but we have to make do right. Is that a lens flare effect I see. Keep up the great work. phasers would be nice to see, you can try Video Copilots Saber plug-in (its free) or Beam effect in After Effects if you are using that program for effects.Need any help on any effects I would be honored help in any way I can in future in devours.

Thanks! We're always looking for help with our productions! We use Video Co-pilot and AE's beam feature when we have space battles. Yes, one of the effects is a lens flare. The other was done in Photoshop. Some of the footage was shot on location, some green screened, some on our sets. The main thing important to us is having fun, and we had a great time with getting this one together!

Just for some story fodder here: I was on duty one night when we had about 17 missile silos go out of communication. We were about to call the telephone company to help us troubleshoot when I got a call from our command post. They told me that if we did not have the problem resolved within 10 minutes, the bombers would launch. That was so frustrating as they were tying up our phone line we needed to resolve the problem. I know there have been other close calls. This is the one I know about.
