I apologize for the way this was edited.. the movie has so much content, it was an actual shame that i had to cut it up... anyways, hope you enjoy!!

Well, with so much highly accurate, completely factual (especially the rabbit) historical content, you can’t reasonably be expected to keep it all. I have no doubt that you fought valiantly against the copyright beast.

I love that you picked up on the subtitles in the credits and read the credits. So many people who review this movie ignore the credit send you picked up on it and I think that's cool.
I got to see this in the theater in 1975 so I have a whole different take on it. It was so cool.

The budget for this film was £175,000 which included funds raised from Pink Floyds 'Dark Side of the Moon' (they were big fans). This meant that they didnt have money to hire horses and the budget ran out before the end of the film, hence the abrupt end!
Notable appearances include Connie Booth (John Cleese's wife at the time) as the Witch, Carol Cleveland (unofficial female member of the Pythons) as Zoot/Dingo and William Palin (Michael Palins baby son) as Sir Not Appearing in this Film. Speaking of (Sir) Michael Palin, he is credited with playing 12 roles in this movie including Dennis, Sir Galahad, The Knight Who Say Ni and the Swamp Castle King!

The "cop out" at the end😂😂😂😂I cackle every time a reactor gets there & has the wtf face😂😂😂 Btw my favorite line is the french guy saying "I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster & your father smelled of elderberries." HILARIOUS!!! I prefer to insult people this way than any other🤣🤣

You really "got" this movie, even though you maybe thought you didn't!! 🙂Also, your confusion and manic laughter and enjoyment were key parts of the reaction. On to "Life of Brian".

Although they never answered it in film, the airspeed velocity of a uladen (European) swallow is around 20.1 miles per hour (32.4 kph) or 29.5 feet per second (9 meters per second).

🤣🤣Welcome brave knight to the realm of Monty Python skit comedy! Your reactions and commentary were hilarious.
The police arrested the wrong guy, the knight on horseback was, well, he was on horseback. So Sir Lancelot couldn't have killed the Actual Historian. He didn't have a horse, just Patsy's coconut halves. The ending was a "Cop Out."
Enjoy reading the comments and rewatching the Holy Grail.
Disclaimer: no Moose or Llama were harmed in the production of this film.

Yeah, definitely not a fair cop, pinning it on Arthur and his men.

  • @cindiloohoo
    @cindiloohoo 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

"It's a fair cop" basically means, "yeah, you got me," so the accused witch turned out to be an actual witch. There's so much in this film that you will miss on just one, or ten, viewings. For example, "Brave" Sir Robin has a chicken on his shield and tunic as his family's heraldic animal.

    "FRANK!!!"
I just can't stop laughing at that moment, even like two decades later. It would have been silly enough for some rando to ride past and clip him for no reason. But no. They wrote in that he was filming it with his wife immediately off screen

During the Bubonic Plague somebody needed to remove the dead quickly because so many deaths occurred rapidly and if the bodies weren't removed quickly it would attract the rats which were a major carrier of the disease.

I've seen this movie so many times I've lost count at this point and I'm still always catching new things. One of my favorite little hidden gems that most people miss is when the monks are marching and doing their little chant, one of them hits himself in the head so hard with board he actually stumbles. (If I'm not mistaken it's the 3rd on the right as they are rounding the corner)

    1. What about the moose?
    2. Paying attention to the opening credits makes it better for everyone, including you.
    3. The first time I saw this was in the back of a pickup at a drive-in (it's still here) with my siblings and a couple of friends.
    4. Perfect Monty Python where you can just get sucked into something where you don't have to think about anything and just let yourself go.
    5. "What ya gonna do? Bleed on me." 🤣"we'll call it a draw" 🤣
    6. Quick bit: "Blow it out your ass"!
    7. The ultimate cock block 😭
    8. Robin's shield is a chicken.
9.The only horse in the film is ridden by the guy that killed the historian.
10.The ending sucked. It was a cop out. Literally
    They ran out of 🤑🤑

This movie was *huge* in geek/nerd culture back in the 70s and 80s. By the time I was 17, I'd already seen this movie many times. There are so many quotes in this movie... "a moose once bit my sister", "tis but a scratch", "it's just a flesh wound", "she's got huge.... tracts of land", "let me face the peril", "I fart in your general direction", "he's not to leave, even if you come and get him", etc. etc. etc.

Dude, you look confused through half the movie, as everyone else was, it's a crazy movie that makes no sense. Monty Python is a British comedy group from the 70's, they used to have a show on PBS when I was a kid in 1970 called Monty Pythons Flying Circus, and it was not only crazy, it was pretty funny.
It's a great movie, do not try to figure it out, it will just make your head hurt, lol. Just watch it and laugh, that is why they made it.

  • @KevDaly

The "Bring out your dead" thing comes from the Black Death, when whole communities were wiped out by the plague.
It'a not a movie within a movie as such, they're just ignoring the division between fiction and reality.

Not only 70s comedy but also British Comedy, that's TWO layers it is very Internet Meme content and IM O the Troop did better stuff on there TV show. But this is where many of the Internet's memes come from . If you're not 'Getting" it that's because your not British not because of the era there aren't really any "Dated" jokes in it. Unlike Hotshots or Airplane or Epic Movie which get dated quickly.

They don't tea h authorian legend anymore the Knights backstory are a big subtle joke, bevedere the wisest of all knights makes nothing but horrible plans the entire movie, galahad is lance aloha son and actually found the Holy grail and then instantant ascended, lance alot is galahad father so he litterally cock blocked his son, lance aloha backstory don't come up but he had an affair with authors wife and that directly caused the end of camelot
