Secretariat never contested a race against older horses. He therefore should be assessed as the greatest 3YO. But even that claim might be up for a challenge.
My absolute two favorite prognasticators! The Formula and ElHombre together. I agree - Flightline is legend, and last night I was saying the exact same thing to my wife about White Abarrio - I never liked him, always refused to bet on him, and then he won the Breeders Cup. I felt like it was going to happen, but I still refused to bet on him. I think this field in 2024 is a great field, and tough to pick. I absolutely hate it, but I think City of Troy is going to win. I love Fierceness, but he either wins or finishes like 10th. I think Sierra Leone and Senor Buscador will both hit the Super. Skippy might hit the board. I have always thought Tapit Trice was trash. I could not understand why people were so high on him at the Derby. Fierceness, City of Troy, Skippylongstocking and Sierra Leone. I will also play Next. Thanks for a great show!
A horse that rans 6 time with 5 being in CA is a legend. I guess Justify is more than a legend. Winx won 33 consecutive races with 20 being G1s. I wonder if you recognized that the term legend has been redefined by some horses.
@@Mark-y5m5v we'll never know about Justify since he was so abruptly yanked after the Belmont. But if there was any horse that could have won the Triple Crown, the Haskell, the Travers and the Classic, it might have been Justify. That horse was sooooo smooth. His head never even bobbed going down the stretch.
The last two breeders cup championships at del Mar 2017 and 2021 the favorite only one 24% of the at del Mar for the summer meet favorites only hit 25.7 percent of the time during the summer meet.
Guys, Mark Plamer dropping in. As usual you guys are dismissing a legitimate entrant i.e., Highland Falls. This 4YO was bred for the Breeder Cup. See below: Sire - Breeder Cup Classic winner Dam - Breeders Cup Distaff winner Dam sire - Breeder Cup Classic winner the Godolphin runner has only made 9 starts. That's low number for a 4YO. He is a progeny of Curlin whose progenies are better as 4YO. Curlin has already sired a BCC winner in Vino Rosso. Dam sire Awesome Again has likewise sired a BCC winner in Ghostzapper. Highland Falls' pedigree has a rich history of BCC success. In his two starts over 10F his running stye was strikingly different. In the Big Cap he closed from last of 7 to get within 2 3/4L of the winner. That was a trip to the CA. In the JCGC he was on the lead with Author's Ride showing serious tactical speed which bode well for his pending BCC effort. The two BC contested at Del Mar were won in gate to wire fashion (Gun Runner/Knicks Go). It appears the configuration and short stretch at Del Mar isn't friendly to deep closers. Highland Falls has a ton of stamina and if he is forwardly placed, which expected, he has the closing kick to rundown the leaders. See his win in the Blame. Brad Cox is the last American based trainer to win 4 Breeder Cup races in the championship. He resurrected the career of Knicks Go and was the only American based trainer to win a turf race in 2022. How can his BCC entrant be tossed? El Hombre, I know you have an issue with # of paragraphs. Out of respect for you, I will end this submission and rob your channel of even more pertinent information.
Give us your top 3 choices for the BC Classic!
Fierceness, City of Troy, Next/Skippy/Sierra
city of troy- forever young- tapit trice
Secretariat greatest resource of all time, no disrespect to the others

City of Troy, Forever Young, Skippy and Next in a Superfecta box. I commented to you 3 weeks ago on Next!
thats City of Troy putting on a phenominal performance. Striding out at the wire, City of Troy by 5 lengths. 🐎
Thank you for your insight Brothers
Thanks for checking in Charles!
Arthur's ride will stomp a mud hole through these brothers
He is so cheap. Maybe $75000 claimer . No resume to make this race

This year feels wide open. No Flightlines this year. It could be the favorite our about 5 other horses.
I think Forever Young is a great name for the first Japanese horse to win the Breeders' Cup Classic.
Your tense is all wrong.
Prophets i know it dont make a change on the evaluation but the trainer/jockey/sire info for mixto is incorrect on the slide
Ugh.... good call. Rushed a few slides after Pre-entries were announced.
More cons than pros on yr guys 4 picks. But thks 4 yr show.
Plenty of room to disagree Carl. We are all just guessing until Nov 2 is in the books.
@@TrustTheProphets I agree. No problems at all.
@@TrustTheProphets Speak for yourself. I do not guess I am just wrong sometimes.
Sierra Leone will hit third at Best in a 14 to 16 horse field brother
Come on bro better one more time I know it's in you

Mark Palmer, we have missed you! Great take on Highland Falls. You might be on to something.
Not a good classic. The whole field looks like runner ups.
Definitely feels like no world beaters but should be a competitive race. Good for betting.
What makes for good classic? Run-away winner Flightline
