Telford 2023 | Announcement!

South West Aviation In Scale is a IPMS Special interest Group (SiG) created by Jason, Paddy, Tez and myself.
The south west of England isn't really noted as a traditional area for aviation as say, Lincolnshire (Bomber county) or Kent (Battle of Britain) but it has an amazing amount of aviation history.
The SiG covers the area from Gloucestershire through Swindon and Salisbury, over 9000 sq miles.
This includes the manufactures of Bristols and Westlands and many Royal Air Force, Fleet Air Arm and Army Air Corps bases; RAF Chivenor, RNAS Yeovilton, RAF/AAC Middle Wallop and MOD Boscombe Down to name just a couple.
This is an ongoing dive into an often forgotten region of aviation history of England.

Same here mate.. S. Devon to Telford is about 4.5 hrs. Thats why I’ve only ever been once. Luckily, the lads and me are staying over. If there’s a club local to you, odds on they’ll be going.

@jaws666 it’s massive really. If you’re used to “normal” shows held in village or church halls.. it’s quite overwhelming. Only been the once (last year) so hoping this year will be bigger. Lots of foreign traders and manufacturers coming this year.
