This video is good but it doesn't nor do the paper instructions tell you how to install the ANTI VIBRATION tabs or feet included in the box plus unless i missed something the instructions are lacking mounting the smart attic fan controller that thank God this video shows us how to. Also wish these units worked off WiFi instead Bluetooth or booth. Otherwise I'm excited to see how the Quietcool AFG SMT PRO-3.0 compares to the former Gable Fan that nowhere in the older units instructions tell you that you need to oil it now and then. Thanks alot HomeDepot for always pretending to see quality equipment or tools just like Harbor Freight. When considering new power tools always check the specs of the unit sold at a dealer and the units sold at big box stores ie our Hedgehog trimmer came from Homedepot and the motor uses Brushes versus the dealer unit that is Brushless.. big difference in tool longevity. Please Reply. My attic recently got mold and I was told the ventilation system was bad in the attic so I showed it to an electrician they said they can install a gable fan in the attic however they are very expensive. And this seems like something I can do so would the gable fan be good to stop mold and have proper ventilation in the attic?
The fan is smaller compared to my homes gable. I don't think the flow covers seen here will work. Can I still install the attic fan or will that defeat the purpose. In other words will it still draw out the heat correctly?
QuietCool AFG SMT ES 3.0 installed. Fan works fine, except when the temp inside the attic increases quickly when the fan is on. It will jump 5 degrees in 5 minutes after I start running the fan. Its April 2nd, not hot yet and the system is increasing my attic temp.

Thanks for your feedback!! We really hope you enjoy your fan.
My house gable vents are located on the West and East sides, so which side should I install an attic fan?
Hello,
You're pressurizing the attic space, so it doesn't matter which gable to install it on.

You can look at all of our gable attic fans on our website. I would recommend the smart attic fans when considering attic gable fans.
Are these fans pushing air into the attic or exhausting the air outside?
Push air out
How about the control app? how does it work?
Hi Jim, check out our QuietCool Smart Control videos on our channel that walk through our app in depth!

HI Gus,
Depending on the size of the gable you currently have, it may work.
Give us a call at 951-325-6340
Use plywood and cut it the same size as the gable vent. Then cut a circle where the fan will be mounted.
They just conveniently have an outlet next to their gable vent lol
@@perriponders289 lucky!
You also notice there is no wire to the outlet and that's the roomiest attic I've ever seen and perfectly lit...
@@tdub77 it must be a fake attic.
No insulation or anything anywhere.
I mean the attic fan must work as soon as you buy it because he isn't even sweating while installing it.

Er, no. How can the system increase attic temperature? 😮
Ahh the heat is not bearable in a attic they should show a real example
That’s for dummy’s 😂
Asinine that they don’t say a word about the wood frame dimensions those handy tabs will fit on.
