Thanks for watching and commenting. It takes a bit of fine tuning but once you get it right it works pretty good. i would always check the tailings or run them a second time. I don't use it much because I usually don't have a lot of concentrates so I find panning it out is faster than setting up the wheel.
Marty - you should turn comments on for your videos so viewers can ask questions about your experience with the spiral wheel! Looks like you’ve picked up some pay-dirt to test! :)
Thank you I just bought the same unit. Yiu aren't kidding, the angle and the speed are a delicate balance especially if you're changing types of paydirt so adjust as you inactive. Great video im a fan!
Thank you for watching and commenting. It just so happens we will be posting a new video on the desert Fox Spiral wheel this Sunday at 7:30 pm est. Check it out. Peace.
Hello from Massachusetts! Although we do most of our prospecting in NH! Don't forget to subscribe to our channel, we're new with lots of good stuff coming!
Hi, like your video. I saw that it missed 3 flakes. I have been told that the spiral wheels don't work good with large flat pieces of gold. Maybe that is why it missed it.
I always run everything twice and that usually gets it all. I've used this for many years now and when I have a lot of concentrates I use it....I don't bother setting it up for just a sluice clean out. A pan gets it done much faster. It has it's purpose and it does an ok job but you got to have it fine tuned right and run everything twice. Thanks for watching.
I just picked one up from an old timer prospector - he had to throw in the towel on prospecting due to health issues, but he swore by the Desert Fox Spiral Wheel. I set it up and discovered the wing-nut is missing for my spray-bar. I’m hoping to run my Gold Cube concentrates through it a few times and see how things turn out. So far, I haven’t had much luck finding good paydirt, which is surprising because I’ve been all over Arizona with my prospecting gear! Time to join a club! 🤣⛏✌🏼💰 Happy Prospecting folks!
@@hipbeeexplorer - Thanks. I just picked up a new wing-nut for my spray bar and ran some concentrates twice. Looks like it seems like the Fox is cleaning out chunkier stuff, but washing out the ultra-fine flour gold that I’m after. I’m contemplating pinching the secondary sprayer side nozzle since it has no flow-control. I’ll run through all of my Gold Cube concentrates ASAP, but I’m worried I’m doing something incorrectly. Might be time to buy some pay-dirt just to test my equipment out.
I’m living in northern Ontario , Canada , I think the gold wheel is good for beginners who lack faith in the Lord and lack faith in their gold panning abilities , if you cannot clean you’re gold with a gold pan and lack faith that you will loose gold , then keep the faith in the Lord loose a bit of gold but please don’t loose you’re sole amen all the best my friend :)
yikes that top sprayer is making a mess, seems its too much pressure and blowing the gold back the spiral bottom and drop your cons at the 7:00 o clock position. you ll have better recovery results.
I had one once. Took it with me to GA. My mother was dieing and I had to leave for ME in a big rush, and it got left behind And ive not seen it since. That was 9 years ago.
Nice video . I just ordered a desert fox and glad to see how it works and that it works so well.

Thank you for watching. I found running cons through it two or three times gets pretty much all the gold out.
