same experience in the country. the drivers are all men (outside of cities i'm not sure i ever saw a women driving). and they all smoke (a lot though usually not while driving if a paid driver) and frequently drink at rest stops. one marshrutka driver got so mad at an unoccupied, but very squeaky seat, that after an hour and half of driving, somewhere near Gaudari, he abruptly stopped and motioned for everyone to exit, then with the help of another man in the van yanked out the seat and threw it on the side of the road after which we re-boarded and carried on our merry way (driving just as crazily as before said yanking). The mandarin speaking girls in the back row with me had terrified expressions on their faces. Another time, I got a hitch from a guy and his girlfriend who were driving home after a few days backpacking near Juta. He was driving so fast and cornering like a madman on a rutted out dirt road that his girlfriend in the passenger seat was white knuckling more than I was. Had to chuckle. Very glad I brought transdermal scopolomine patches with me for the days I'd be in a car...too bad they're so expensive and illegal to purchase in georgia (I checked). outside of driving though, I found georgians, men and women alike, to be very pleasant and welcoming, even in bigger cities.
Which other places are you planning to visit out there? I am half Georgian half Ukrainian myself and I often visit Georgia by the way so I would recommend going canoeing to Martvili village, check it out, you won't regret if you actually go there. All my relatives are from Zugdidi, so yes also worth visiting, beautiful Dadiani palace there. Great videos man, like it, keep it going.
Hey Denys, we have a range of places still yet to visit so it's pretty exciting, we spent some short time in Zugdidi so that's cool :) I will keep those other spots in mind :)

I think driving in Georgia has got worse since this video was made. Screaming racers going on to midnight, don't give a sh!t about the disruption to hard working Georgians, it's such a man thing. The safest time I felt as a passenger when a cool, calm lady taxi driver picked me up. It restored my faith. Only been here 2 months, but reversed into as a pedestrian, bag knocked out of my hand on a crossing, Marshrutka driver drunk out his brain, off road driver in mestia, tried to overtake another suv on a mountain road, and nearly fell off a cliff, overtaking on military road on bends. It's all about noise and male knobs It's strange two flavors of Georgian. Kind, compassionate, caring vs obnoxious, attention seeming selfish tw@ts

same experience in the country. the drivers are all men (outside of cities i'm not sure i ever saw a women driving). and they all smoke (a lot though usually not while driving if a paid driver) and frequently drink at rest stops. one marshrutka driver got so mad at an unoccupied, but very squeaky seat, that after an hour and half of driving, somewhere near Gaudari, he abruptly stopped and motioned for everyone to exit, then with the help of another man in the van yanked out the seat and threw it on the side of the road after which we re-boarded and carried on our merry way (driving just as crazily as before said yanking). The mandarin speaking girls in the back row with me had terrified expressions on their faces. Another time, I got a hitch from a guy and his girlfriend who were driving home after a few days backpacking near Juta. He was driving so fast and cornering like a madman on a rutted out dirt road that his girlfriend in the passenger seat was white knuckling more than I was. Had to chuckle. Very glad I brought transdermal scopolomine patches with me for the days I'd be in a car...too bad they're so expensive and illegal to purchase in georgia (I checked). outside of driving though, I found georgians, men and women alike, to be very pleasant and welcoming, even in bigger cities.
Which other places are you planning to visit out there? I am half Georgian half Ukrainian myself and I often visit Georgia by the way so I would recommend going canoeing to Martvili village, check it out, you won't regret if you actually go there. All my relatives are from Zugdidi, so yes also worth visiting, beautiful Dadiani palace there. Great videos man, like it, keep it going.
Hey Denys, we have a range of places still yet to visit so it's pretty exciting, we spent some short time in Zugdidi so that's cool :) I will keep those other spots in mind :)
if you haven't gotten any info about the katskhi pillar, nobody is allowed up there except the monks who live there.it's a holy place.

I think driving in Georgia has got worse since this video was made. Screaming racers going on to midnight, don't give a sh!t about the disruption to hard working Georgians, it's such a man thing. The safest time I felt as a passenger when a cool, calm lady taxi driver picked me up. It restored my faith.
Only been here 2 months, but reversed into as a pedestrian, bag knocked out of my hand on a crossing, Marshrutka driver drunk out his brain, off road driver in mestia, tried to overtake another suv on a mountain road, and nearly fell off a cliff, overtaking on military road on bends. It's all about noise and male knobs
