Hi there, here a few tips: first of all, the variegation in albo's is unstable and can grow out of the plant. All depends on how much white is in the stems. here's a golden tip: look at the growpoint on the monstera. With variegated monstera, you will see white and green on the stem. If the growpoint is situated in a green/white spot, you are surely getting lots of variegation. If there is hardly any white visible on the stem where the growpoint is, you will likely end up with a green version with perhaps some splotches here and there. If you start off with a cutting, like yourself, that has only minimal white in the leaf and stem, you are never getting more variegation in there, regardless of light .. sorry to bum you out like that but that's the pittfall of albo's .. if you don't know what to look for when buying cuttings, you can spend a whole lot of money on something that will not give you what you want/expect :(

All good info. I bought this one because of the amount of stem variegation it had vs the others. Interesting about where the growth point is though. I never knew that. I certainly don’t expect this one to ever be higher variegation. But that’s okay by me :)

I'm actually pretty shocked! I remember thinking that I'd be surprised if anything came of ANY of them as far as variegation goes, but I think the improvements on the two best ones are pretty darn good! Can't wait to see what this growing season does! It would definitely be interesting to take those two and put one in the southern window with good natural light, and then the other in the cabinet with the grow lights to see if there's any difference in the progress!🤔💚

I definitely went into this process with no expectations. I wasn’t sure if I should be happy or sad with these results, so your comment gave me some good perspective. Thank you!

Wow I think the progress is great so far! I am very impressed that you have been able to get more variegation from them at all! Definitely think it's a good idea not to chop and prop them for the spring and summer and see how they do. Thanks for the update, keep us posted on progress!

This may be a fruitless endeavor, but we’ll see where it goes.

Nice job so far on bring back the variegation! Also, my understanding is that Monstera are under canopy/low light tropicals... so, I'd be careful about popping them into a Southern exposure.

That’s what I figured. Needs more light, but not ALL the light.

I got like from Ted’s also.. it had a low v and I’ve chopped it twice. I think there’s hope for it. If anything I did buy a cutting with a very marbling stem so 🤞🏽🤞🏽

Yes. Mine have been hit or miss. The one benefit to a more green Albo is they grow quickly for more prop potential 👍
