It was probably caused by the vehicle not being correctly handed back to the server for simulation when the player disconnects. In the clip we intentionally triggered it by having Imperator ALT + F4 right after hitting the edge of the ramp. *Why does the car catch fire?* Not sure to be honest but its probably to do with desync caused by the bug. We tried some unarmed vehicles before recording this clip and none of them caught fire while flying across the valley so it might have been the game thinking the bullets were hitting the car. *Are there actual aircraft in the game at the moment?* -At the moment no, but they will almost certainly be added at some point because I imagine Bohemia will want to test them before Arma 4.- There are now helicopters in the game as of Oct 23. *Should I buy this game?* No, unless: - You want to support the future of Arma by providing feedback/help with testing. - You want to use the mod tools for the new engine. - You want to play the 'Conflict' PVP mode (AI is not worth playing against in coop as of Jan 24 since there is no vehicle AI and they are pretty dumb) *Is the game available on consoles?* Currently it's available on PC and Xbox, but as far as I am aware it will be coming to PS5 at some point as well. *How are you able to run the game so well?* I'm playing on PC and I have a 2070 Super and i7-6700, generally I am able to run the game at 60 fps on Ultra with max view distance except when there are large amounts of AI/lots of shooting happening. Arma Reforger and Arma 4 are not the same game. Reforger is intended to test systems and raise funds for Arma 4. PSN Does not allow Early Access as commonly as XB and PC. PSN is literally about as anal as you can get on that aspect. XB is a short second and PC is eternally meant for Early Access testing and feedback.

@@mrdato116 I think it will get more optimised as they continue to work on it. 49 fps is pretty decent considering its difficult to get more than 30-40 fps in modded Arma 3 on PC.
A surprising amount of people are commenting this, I guess Bohemia did a pretty good job making the lighting and terrain photorealistic in their new engine :)

When I introduced the wife to arma she wondered wtf was happening with people being bugged in vehicles etc. Any time a game bugs on her now she says it's 'doing an arma'
if anyone is curious they did this on purpose. currently there is a bug where if the driver disconnects while currently moving the vehicle will maintain velocity and continue to move in the direction it was until another player gets in the driver seat to resume physics simulation. if i had to guess it's because even after the player leaves, the vehicle does not return to the server's ownership and continues to give the player ownership and, in doing so, input even though they no longer exist

Exactly what Beez said, I heard that vehicles maintain their velocity when the driver disconnects so I thought it would be funny to use it to fly over some enemies and shoot them I imagine it will probably get fixed pretty soon lol
@G . yeh but a decade between games proves that the company was barely functioning. barely on its feet to take such a goddam long time. This beta test is still full of glitches. In a decade for a game i dont wanna see any glitches ffs
@@notfrom63rd6 They didn't just make a new game, they have been building an entirely new game engine AND learning to use it at the same time. This is the first project they have released on the new engine so it makes sense it would have lots of teething issues. Despite the issues the new engine is a massive improvement from the RV engine used in the previous games and it will only get better from here.

Arma reforger is based on the original game Operation Flashpoint Cold war crisis. This is a game in which the Devs just gave the community to test their new engine. By the time Arma4 comes, I hope it'll be modernized. 👌
I can't wait for Reforger to actually include air vehicles (CWA had stuff like the SU-25, Mi-17, Mi-24, KA-50, AH-1, AH-64, UH-60, A-10, and the Sopwith camels)
