Guys I had this mic pre, and I have to tell you a couple of important things. Unlike other units, 1073 dpa line inputs are transformerless! Also, instead of a full adjustment of the output volume, there is Trim, which goes down only to -10 dB. It can be a pain in the ass when you have a very hot mic and are trying not to overload your converters. This trim is often not sufficient to reduce the output volume. And if you want to drive input gain harder for "that mojo", this Trim is also pain in the ass. And this is the reason why I sold this preamp.. So keep that in mind!! If you want Ams, you better get 1073 Spx/DPX, with full output level control and transformers in the line inputs, or Bae and so on.
@@phanosevangelou597 this unit has only mic input transformer and output transformer, but there is NO line input transformer. Line input in this unit is transformerless. Of course, those people who advertise equipment will not be willing to tell you about this.

AMS Neve owns the original, classic designs and iterates on those. RND is where the current ideas are flowing from. One isn't necessarily better than the other... just different snapshots in time and different ideas.

Not if you expect transformers on the line inputs.
