Len1million I remember that game! The first time I went to "hell", I was so scared that I never even touched the game again! And the music was so stressful, too.
It doesn't seem to be a bad ending. In my opinion it's a brilliant decision. As you said, you'd feel fear as the character would be. It might be poorly implemented - I don't know about that -, but it seems to be a good idea from an artistic point of view. On the other hand, making you beat your friend is stupid. I guess the producer or developers thought it would be too easy with two players.
Pedro Couto That's not what he means by "Bad Ending". He means that you got the worst end result in the game, not that the ending sucks. But I do agree with you on that second point. It's kind of like the friendly fire from Battletoads.
This game is very dear to me. I played it as a little kid and in the final battle was always like "why won't you die!?". You could imagine my gratification, when I accidentally strangled him with the nunchaku. Back then I hadn't yet seen the movie, so I had no idea.
There is one game over in a fan game called Super Mario star road, a super mario 64 clone. In the game over, instead of a screen, Mario is now in a grey purgatory world. The stars are reseted to zero and now other life is found.
Just got to google and find stuff about it. Pretty much you are "dead", and you clearly are in a "ghost" world (You can see 2 Boos around), everything is gray, and the only thing where you can go in that place is in a big hole, in which you drop...and the game restarts to the title screen. Still, I admit that for a SM64 hack, that was pretty unexpected, and a cool detail.
TheArcadeStriker if it were me making the music, I would have placed the world of nothing music from super paper mario giving a bit of fear in the afterlife
I know you don't do fan requests but I remember a game called Metal Combat for the SNES with the Super Scope and the final boss would kidnap your helpful alien friend and use her as a shield to protect it's weakspot. I didn't know as a kid if you try to charge shots the boss would recover HP so I always shot her to reveal the weak pointand got the bad ending. Just a thought, I love your Creepy Bad Ending Series.
LOL! The one inch punch thing at the end was freaking awesome! I use to play the hell out of this game when I was a kid, I don't know what it was I liked about it so much besides the awesome music, realistic(but sometimes choppy) fight scenes, or maybe I was fascinated with Bruce Lee and the biographical movie of him as well(I loved that too)! Oh, and I totally no what you mean about the phantom not dying and how it reminds you of the character from Final Fantasy 5(Galuf I think that's his name), it's kind of shocking and creepy. Great video man, thanks for turning on that old nostalgia time machine one more time!
What an unsettling way to implement continues into this game. Everything about that phantom fight is creepy...the music, the entire area getting darker except for you and the phantom, him appearing after you lost all your lives, and that it's literally impossible to defeat him here. All of it makes you feel like you're as close to oblivion as you can get and you're desperately fighting against death itself. It's also an effective way of building up the final boss as a true threat. This unkillable foe you barely survived is now an enemy you must defeat and there's no second chances this time.
This is an interesting series. I've actually had a game idea myself and the best ending you can get is bittersweet with the death of your son... by your own hands. Worst part? Wasn't the true villain. That fiend gets away knowing that while they failed to kill you, they did get your son killed and have emotionally scarred you... all while the only witness of their deeds was killed by you. But hey, at least the world is saved from destruction, right?
literally my thought process browsing my email just now: Okay, I'll check my e-mail, and then it's time to do homework. I gotta get the last few menu screens implemented and- *whoisthisgit has uploaded a video* Ooh, whoisthisgit uploaded a new creepy bad endings! I suppose one couldn't hurt...
Had a nightmare about this guy last night, several months after watching the video. Currently here to get rid of whatever those demons were. Proof that old games can be as terrifying as new ones.
Loved it! Super House of Dead Ninjas have some creepy things too. Specially the "game over" screen. It must be one of the creepiest things I've seen. haha
While this video is mentioning one of the most badass people ever, who would win in a three way fight between Chuck Norris, Bruce Lee, and Segata Sanshiro?
Segata A.K.A. Kamen Raider 1 A.K.A. IDK real name BTW Segata was left in space after the Dreamcast launch (He had to drop off SEGA HQ Building to save SEGA from a rocket, and he gone to the space with the rocket after moving it away), but even then he apparently is still alive (Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed). Yet, in most terms and in true reality, yeah, Bruce Lee was a ridiculously unstoppable force (And similarly like Norris and Segata, he also spawned lots of stuff like him, I mean, the many Bruce Lee clones in games or movies anyone?).
Any enemy in the game, hits you once: a small chunk of health gone and stuns after 4-5 consecutive hits, a little annoying but not that bad Phantom hits you once: 20% of the health bar gone just like that and stuns you after like 2 hits. Yeah, the phantom is a literal powerhouse in this game.
I'll give the devs mad props for making the phantom feel and look actually terrifying. In the movie, while in the context of the scene he is unnerving, from outside that perspective, he looks kinda goofy, the robotic walk and the way he's putting his hands on the front to strangle Lee is a bit silly lol. Here though, he has a way more menacing stance, the ground shakes with his every step, the atmosphere around him is depressingly blue and dark, he's the only one to truly kill you (hell, he's also the only opponent that YOU kill, which in my opinion makes him even more badass), nobody in the game does that, they can beat you up good, but the phantom would always come to deliver the final blow, not to mention that he also got a freaking weapon now (which I don't know how it's called), and of course, most importantly, his own theme. Seriously, if it wasn't for the theme, I doubt the atmosphere would work even remotely well without it. It sounds NOTHING like the other tracks from the game's soundtrack, it's not a "Here's the main bad guy, come on, beat him!", it's goal is to make you fear even considering to confront the phantom. The phantom is done so well in the game, he makes his movie counterpart look like a cartoon monster.
Only one can fight the Final Boss. It might be decided who won the latest fight and you don't loose all your mirrors, just the latest fight you involved in. Lets say Player 1 won against Player 2. So Player 1 fights the Final Boss and Player 2 is like sitting on the bench or something. Lets say Player 1 loses against Final Boss, so Player 2 steps in and fights against the Final Boss. It's one on one when it comes to Final Boss. It's weird, i know
Playing on max difficult "arcade ace", I've always get whooped by the two ladies wielding staffs. BUT in versus I get my ass kicked really bad max difficult NPC bruce lee. That dude literally reads your control input.
hey git, Bruce Lee games are truly a wealth to be tapped into. there's also one for the GameBoy Advance, where Bruce Lee plays an agent or something out to avenge his master's death, then he gets tricked into killing the wrong villain who was mistakenly accused of having carried out the hit, then he is ambushed by an FBI agent who had been a drug lord all along in addition to being the one responsible for his master's death!
: D Glad to see this game on here!! it is indeed on of my favorite games. I'm a huge fan of your videos and always look forward to what else you will play. good work
the game over jingle reminds me of one of the jingles from "History of the entire world, I guess" i think it's "Except turkey, turkey makes a brand new turkey"
Dear Git, if I may ask a question, have you ever played persona? If so would you consider doing a CBE video on it? If not, does it interest you, it's okay if you don't like it. I'm not make it a case like how those people reacted when you shared your thoughts on undertale.
lol how funny would it be to have mirrors while fighting the phantom for real, then after losing them he'll be back agian and be like HEY BUDDEH, YOU MISSED ME?
how about making one take turns killing the other in co op? would there be enough mirrors to reach the end so they both have like, around 1 or 2 mirrors left?

Creepy Bad Endings # 60: th-cam.com/video/jYJxU8bHVeU/w-d-xo.html
At least this game doesn't insult you when it tells you to go to a higher difficulty. It basically says, "I think you should challenge yourself more"
sgiindigo True
But still it SUCCS
Also gotta say, it is terrifying to see your worst nightmare come after at your weakest point.
I actually kind of wish more games had something like that. It seems like a cool idea.
Len1million I remember that game!
The first time I went to "hell", I was so scared that I never even touched the game again!

Len1million The Underworld is also a religious term, so saying "The Underworld" instead of "Hell" isn't so much anti-religion as a different religion.

Am I The only one who gets goosebumps as soon as I hear the phantom's theme?
I'm glad the phantom doesn't die when you lose a battle, because if he did, it would essentially ruin the plot of the game. Great video, man!
if git says hi to me, i will truly be blessed...
Hello.
whoisthisgit You are my god git :D i love your videos
Antonio Contreras wait! There is something wrong...He...he DIDNT SAY HI! HE SAID HELLO! ((-I had to xD

That music for Phantom still creeps me out till this day.
We all miss the Legendary Bruce Lee....*Manly tears*
The whole" Phantom scenario" reminds of the losing sequence in Wario Land Shake It.
Maybe they made the design choice because "there's only one Bruce lee"?
Bro you are starting to appear in the search results. Proof that you are getting more popular.
So it was the Phantom who put the defective blank on the pistol
ILLUMINATI CONFIRMED!!!1
While the boss and atmosphere was kinda creepy, at least the music in the game is catchy
And now I can relax knowing I'm not subbed to a dead channel

Is this really considered a bad ending though? Seems more like a creepy game over or something... still, awesome video as always!
A game over that graphic IS a bad ending for the character.
Loved it! Super House of Dead Ninjas have some creepy things too.
Specially the "game over" screen. It must be one of the creepiest things I've seen. haha
2 videos in one week? You know it's like 3 weeks 'till Christmas, right?
who though the go in the thumbnail was Fei Long at first glance?
Mr NunNuns Isnt he Tekken?
UnbornDecay that's Forrest and Marshall Law
Mr NunNuns Thanks. Then what is Long from? I dont remember...
UnbornDecay Street Fighter
Mr NunNuns Thanks
that's actually cool as hell. it's like death giving you one final chance to prove yourself
While this video is mentioning one of the most badass people ever, who would win in a three way fight between Chuck Norris, Bruce Lee, and Segata Sanshiro?
I'd say Bruce Lee, because he already beat Chuck Norris and Segata is just an actor, I think.
SEGATA IS MORE THAN JUST AN ACTOR! YOU TAKE THAT BACK!
Segata A.K.A. Kamen Raider 1 A.K.A. IDK real name

if that would happen, captain falcon would still jump in,throw a falcon punch onto chuck, and taunt him to "show him his moves" *lennyface*
But what if it were a them song comparrison?
and that tombstone had his face. and when you were defeated by the Phantom, that gave me even more chills
Any enemy in the game, hits you once: a small chunk of health gone and stuns after 4-5 consecutive hits, a little annoying but not that bad

So I checked around to see if the ending was worth beating totally not Samurai Galuf and it's just a case of A Winner Is You. Joy.
5:26 RIP Galuf
That cutscenes at the beginning with the phantom reminds me of splatter house 3's, just purple and not blue.
Those*
don't remind me please
Jennifer becomes to smell of rot. Of the grave.
Hey Whoisthisgit, I think your videos are really awesome. My favorites have to be Dead Rising and Tails Abuse. Keep up the good content my friend!
The lightning strike scared the shit out of me.
Weird that two playthroughts of this game I have managed to find make beating the Phantom look like a piece of cake.
0:15 I don't remember this chapter of JoJolion.
Little did they know that Phantom later moved to America too and came to be known as "The Shredder"
"Hmm tonight I dine on Bruce Lee's soup!"
The phantom is galuf from ff5, like when he fights exdeath. Or the spider from Miscellanious Mire of Madness
Thank you for making this Whois!
But what happens if you beat the final guy on co-op? Do you still have to fight each other?
What if two players defeat the final boss and when they have to beat each other, one ends up without any mirrors?

There's a cheat code for the Mega Drive version of this game that lets player 2 play as the enemies. I always thought that was neat.
: D Glad to see this game on here!! it is indeed on of my favorite games. I'm a huge fan of your videos and always look forward to what else you will play. good work

i think it's "Except turkey, turkey makes a brand new turkey"
but when you're in your last legs...
Me:USE CHEAT!
I finally realised what the outro music is: Double Dragon Amstrad soundtrack
Damn that was actually awesome
Dear Git, if I may ask a question, have you ever played persona? If so would you consider doing a CBE video on it? If not, does it interest you, it's okay if you don't like it. I'm not make it a case like how those people reacted when you shared your thoughts on undertale.
nice vid bro and u could maybe do a creepy moments of tantei club 2 for the snes (some parts were too spooky)
I love ur vids!
lol how funny would it be to have mirrors while fighting the phantom for real, then after losing them he'll be back agian and be like HEY BUDDEH, YOU MISSED ME?
That's Fei Long.
welcome back :)
I've played this game too when I was younger. (On an emulator of course)
Yay a new video!
That guy portraying Bruce lee in the cut scenes, is the same actor who portrayed Mowgli in in "Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book".
can you beat him if you acquire the nunchucks even after losing all the mirrors with a game genie code.
Nice video, git.
Out of morbid curiosity, have you played Shaq Fu?
the two player mode reminds me of castle crashers
Can you do an episode on something relating to The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth? Such a fantastic game.
Sr Sr Wilson e Fresh.
hey git how about you make a bossanalysis about bonus bosses or the same difficulty like that?
0:24 IS HE A BELMONT!?
OH SHIT, ITS YA BOI GIT!
What about the difficult "For Paul" ?
On that difficulty enemy moves very fast. have short time of stun, and, I think, acts more aggressively than on arcade difficulty.
how about making one take turns killing the other in co op? would there be enough mirrors to reach the end so they both have like, around 1 or 2 mirrors left?
??? I had no idea this game had bad endings
0:33 But he died by the asprin bro.
What's next, best levels ever?
Hello git!
there's a tool assisted speedrun of this game on the TASvideoschannel if you want to check it out
Goddamn game, i could never beat that stupid sailor, and is the first fight lol
So, was this "phantom" like a recurring nightmare that Bruce Lee had in real life, or was the movie/game just making stuff up?
Hmmm......the game's hit detection seems pretty wonky
Phantom is Galuf
Bruce Lee being the Most Powerful Character in Real Life Ever? That's Debatable.
Chuck Norris?
He beat Chuck Norris when they fought.
Nah, Norris let him win :D
scatlink sean It sure didnt look like it xD
+FullVault Inc It was his defeat at the hands of Bruce Lee that helped Chuck Norris to unlock his true power!
If being alternately a huge bigot or a meme danker than your grandmas hoohah equals power, we're in agreement.

Do deadrising 4 creepy endings once all the the endings come out plz i love that game 👍🏻
That game has no multiple endings.
