Tim--a few months ago, I found a LARGE PRINT CSB PASTOR'S BIBLE, which I use when I teach at my church. Being a person with vision issues, this edition of the CSB is a great find for those of us who have poor eyesight. BTW---the Bible was discounted to $20, which made me quite happy. I have been a CSB translation fan for 3 years, and truly enjoy the readability and accuracy of this translation. The font size in the Bible you review is the same as in the Bible I purchased for teaching. Sure makes it easier to read the Scriptures--especially when in the pulpit.
This is exactly what I have been looking for. My 2 favourite translations are the NLT and the CSB. I already have a Dayspring Signature Collection 16-point NLT with a beautiful Rose Gold (it's called Blush Floral) Leatherlike Bible, and I've been looking for the same size print and quality in the CSB. I gotta confess something that makes me feel so dumb, looking back. When you move the cover of a premium bible back and forth to show how soft and floppy it is, do that with my Abide Bible and wasn’t impressed. But what I wasn’t seeing is that my Abide Bible was flopping from the hinge. Now that I have a goatskin bible, I can truly see the flop.
I have a KJV published by Broadman and Holman, copywrite 1996 in genuine leather. It's called a super giant print also. It has an 18 point font. I gave it to my wife and she loves it.
I like the CSB translation. It’s good for general reading, but I especially use it in study for a “second opinion” alongside ESV. Large prints are great. A
I have a 2017 version of this in goat skin Yes I'm sure it's probably a bonded goat skin. And they also make a version to this in genuine letter. I know they probably never would but I would love to see something like this in the handcrafted or even a 13-point font the giant print version in the handcrafted. I would buy one in a heartbeat
I have the purple one of this Bible. I love mine. I love that I don't have to strain my eyes to read long passages of scripture. I do use sticky notes in mine, but I can easily remove them to read the text underneath.
I have a Holman NKJV in Super Giant print that I bought at Ollie's for less than $20 and I love it! Some of my church friends joked about it saying 'Wow, someone could be sitting three rows behind you and still be able to read along!' 😅
Hi Tim, Great review. I would like to see if you can help me. I am looking to get a small bible that can fit in my pocket but i need atleast a 8point font (preferably NLT). Do you recommend any. I was looking at the NLT giant print compact but it looks like it would be a little to thick for the pocket (i don't need it as big as 10point) thank you.
Tim you keep saying these are the biggest you've seen but you haven't checked the ESV super giant print bible. 17 point type! We've been using it as our pulpit reader for 4 years now
I have to say that I don't like Bible Serif when it gets larger than 11pt...so maybe it was smart of Holman to opt for a different "Bible Slab" font. The additional blockiness is attractive, even though a 16pt Bible isn't for me. I would definitely be interested to see what it looks like in other type sizes, if they ever do that.
Hi Tim. As a new subscriber am watching your past videos. I appreciate any review of font 11-point & larger. My everyday Bible is a Holman nkjv extra giant print 16 point font which I ordered at Christian bookstore while we still had one in the area. 2013 Copyright. Unfortunately now my vision is even more challenging and the larger print is more of a necessity than a preference. I'm a bit frustrated, my own fault of course, misreading the typeface information having ordered 3 different bibles 2 being 9 point font, 1 said to be a 9 but clearly smaller. I've decided to not return them with the cost of shipping etc saving them to give as gifts someday. It's not something in my budget. So still looking for a new Bible that's a comfortable read for me also I can study in as I enjoy pictures & illustrations. I love my nkj but it's totally marked up would like to start new. I so enjoy your reviews. Thank you. I'm not sure of csb translation but has a lovely cover.

That's a super size print you said it was like a 16. Okay question what size is a 9.5 what size print will that be? Is it a regular print or a large print?
It’s Th words of Jesus in red is a real problem for me to see, I have the NLT super giant print but the red words I just cannot read. Bummer this version has red text too

@@sfgfan63 It's a good translation. Tim's channel doesn't focus on translational differences, but a great channel you may get some use from is R. Grant Jones'. He did a review for a CSB Bible a few years back (just do a search for his name CSB) and about halfway through he discusses the translation in detail, comparing it to other translations. I don't always agree with his opinions, but he does a wonderful job articulating differences he finds between translations and he has very measured opinions. Hope you find a Bible that's right for you!

My CSB Family Bible is also a 16pt font. My daughter who’s going in the first grade loves learning to read with it.
I can't think of a better way to teach your daughter how to read.

I went to Ollie's and they have a really good price on that super giant print Bible. Frankly it's huge to Big Man😂 we need a laugh button.

I need a 16 or 16.5 point. I wish my Reader's Bible six volume set was 16.5 point. So my next Bible has to be 16.5 point.

I don’t have a favorite… I think using ones from different points on the spectrum is helpful.
