Well... On the one hand, I agree, labeling people with those terms is generally destructive to open discourse. It'd generally be better to refer to statements or actions as racist, homophobic, etc.
On the other hand, these phrases tend to have a little more specific meaning than "crooked," "nasty," "un-presidential," et cetera. Also, I don't believe Hillary has ever called Trump Hitler.

Hrishi Venkatesh under normal circumstances, no one would support Trump; but because he is the Republican party's candidate, many Republicans feel obligated to support him. This is the flaw of the bipartisan political system. Even if they don't like him, they don't have any other choice. They feel the need to justify their vote and his nomination by blindly supporting him and ignoring his obvious inadequacy. It's dumb and most Americans don't know there's any other way.

It is my opinion, though, that turbines spinning peacefully in an open landscape under a bright blue sky looks a lot more attractive than dark brown, polluted skies.
A perfect farewell to a man who at least made our lives more dramatic and absurdist for a while.
