Joliet Star Wars Day 2022 Parade

Star Wars Day returns to Joliet after nearly coming to an end because of the pandemic. Just after 11am, Saturday, June 4th, the festivities kicked off with a parade of the Midwest Garrison of the 501st, along with members of the Rebel Legion and Mandalorian Mercs cosplay groups down Chicago Street, turning right to end up in front entrance of the Joliet Public Library, for the traditional group shot. There was an artist and author alley inside the library, while a pavilion outside had live music and several food trucks. People could have their picture taken with the cosplayers and take part in activities that took place at the library and museum up the street. The event ran from 11am to 4pm.

Thank you for the kind words about my general Grievous! Funny enough shortly after this part of the parade, my leg broke on the costume and I had to use duct tape on it for the rest of the event
