Hi Lucy! you made me giggle when you explained about " Vertically challenged" since my country is really common to say like type of things to others..Just with a tone more creepily hilarious like " Hey, floor lump!" Pd: Hello from Colombia 😁🙃
You have a perfect teacher who is devoted to her students and provides efficient content regularly. Extra benefit : she has a mesmerizing voice. Worth listening to her... 😇😇😇
Is there anybody else who misses vlogs?)) Have just re-watched one of them and understood that I would like them back) I understand that, as Lucy said, "it's too much information" but I can't help it))
Brilliant lucy you rock , i always imagine myself in an excellent teacher but unfortunately i cant do it as real , if only i had recited all the vocabularies which have been stucked in the oxford it would be like feather on my head it is like a dream that i speake like a native speaker , i have to pull all the stops i follow you permanently, but i believe in my abilities , knowledge self confidence will power and motivation that help me in this carrer , break a leg lucy i love you
Lucy, to be completely honest, I truly loved your old intro so much. It was such as amazing and catchy intro ever. I'm imploring you to put it back, please.
Hey Lucy! I love your videos, they're always really helpful. Which is why I would really appreciate if you could make a video about concrete and abstract nouns, because it's a new topic for me and I feel like It could help me a LOT! Thank you so much!!
Haha. I look like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards. In fact I once was;my pony had escaped... and the description is very very accurate indeed in the end. Which makes me wonder about common phrases. "I nipped to the shops." A term in regular use - "I look like I have been dragged through a hedge backwards." A little too regular. How many of us own a pony then?! a few
After scrolling through your C1 videos I’m so excited to subscribe to your course thanks for paying attention to the ones suffering in the middle of the ladder …🙏 Many English teachers only care about beginners like we need the outmost help too!!
I've been loving those advanced lessons ! Very entertaining, you can keep 'em coming 😁 maybe a next one could be travel related ? Lots of love to you 💝
Thank You,Lucy!💐Now i've just learnt to describe my appearance in such a few words: I am a vertically challenged person with a pale complection and a golden blonde natural curly hair .
my memos from the lesson: logophile(word-loving), cascade(waterfall/series of them), dispel(1Lnot2inPS), sticking point, vertically challenged, lanky(thin, skinny, angular like a teenager), 2fill out/2b filled out, windswept, scruffy, scrub up well(as in clean up well), tangoed(having a conspicuous fake orange tan), salt-and-pepper(partially grey hair, of hair), unkempt(known word, must use more2recall when needed)😸💖 i decided to share for i thought the words highlighted in the lesson were somehow more apt for the intermediate lvl(b1 prob?)🙈😸 although i honestly have no idea
Very meaningful lesson for me as I recently got a foreign friend who is from Europe. I think I will have to learn non-text phrases for better communication with him!
Thank you so much for such beautiful and wonderful words at level C1.During the lesson I was filled with powerful energy that i was eager to use these words as soon as possible.I am just fond of your lessons.🥰🥰🥰And of coursely thank you for your book.
God, it was excellent I was exhausted of studying and working, and after seeing this video, it was as if the universe had given me another soul. Thank you so much ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I love this lesson of you Lucy Describing physical appearance in C1 Level English. I want to learn all those words Lucy in the paragraph you read. I love all your lessons Lucy
I really love your videos! When I was at my first course in university our phonetic teacher gave us one of your videos to make “shadowing” task. It was video about British people oddities and we needed to copy your pronunciation, make same assimilations and pauses. So since that day you’re one of my favourite blogger PS I failed that task 😅
I appreciate your videos so much. And with this one, I have learnt the most beautiful, tender word ever: sun-kissed. How cute is that!! What I also appreciate (and I am always waiting for it, when you say "lovely students". 😊 I think it's nice to be addressed as a lovely student, even though I'm over 60. I feel valued. Thank you so much for your videos, beautiful teacher! ❤ Greetings from Switzerland.
The 15th word 'salt-and-pepper is the same as Vietnamese phrase 'muối tiêu'. Actually we do not use 'and' since we also have a kind ò seasoning with the same name, which is used to flavor for boiled eggs or even fruit.
Lucy and classmates, 🙌🏻🎉🥂Lovely news! When I first started viewing and subscribing and simping for everything Lucy Bella has to offer, I figured I wouldn't derive benefit in terms of learning, being that I'm honestly a fluent and native English (Am/Br) speaker with 52 years "under my belt." I mean I think we can all agree that there's some other draw for more than a few men who've subscribed here. 😉 However, here's the news! ☘ I'm finding that I've been able to summon marvellous recall now of those Britishisms and RP, and how to identify that they're unique to the Empire or Commonwealth realms. In my work, I am an international educator who is charged with the care of students in US, Canada, UK, AUS, and even Mexican English-speakers! Therefore I must know how to switch among those variants several times a day. Thanks, English with Lucy, for giving me that extra boost I needed to really shine at work and make impact! 🔐
Thank you for creating such a splendid video, you know the best part of your videos is that when you share your lifetime experience and day-to-day activities or your past memories, it just gives us a clearer idea of what word is used and where. So, Special thanks to you for that as well. I love every minute of your video and enjoy and learn from it. May God bless you! Ameen😍🤩
Love the fact that in french "Crows feet" translate into goose feet ! I wonder if in other langages it's an other type of bird that's used to describe those wrinkles.
My friend has an amazing apperansce She is much older then me, but the most interesting thnig in her charecter and appiriance is that, she has a quality When she smile or talking about something she has that good energy that atracts me And i have noteced that her face in such moments change its shining with kindness and good inspiration and mood And only when her eyes close i notice her age and that she maybe extremlly tired But in a different time i think that she is an example of that sovetic generation that i d like to be cos they have something that helped them see the good side in all things and maybe understand that life better than our generation They can know the world but be suprizeed by it like a children and be beautiful inside not only in apperiance Maybe thats why i dont feel her age
Thanks a million for this amazing video, Lucy. You're always so dedicated to spreading the best knowledge that one can hopefully get about the English language on the Internet. I love your teaching with passion. And it helps me a ton.
