  • Kettenkrad! Goliath tracked mine! Trailers! What more could you want?! Well... Lots of things I suppose...
Anyway... this 28mm (1:56) scale kit from Rubicon Models is pretty great! and I imagine my German forces are going to have a blast riding around on this. And the Goliath.
    Very nice model.

More than once I've suspected I've switched timelines. I mention that because I've been building models since about 1960 and have never heard of the Goliath tracked mine until today. What other cool science-fictiony things do you have in this timeline?

@@kommodore6691 I've heard of all of those and built models of many of them.
But that baby tank drone, that's a new one on me.

If you were to make your own load, Herbert, wouldn't it be called a Kettencrap :)

The front wheel of the Kettenkrad was actually removable and it could be operated as a full tracked vehicle. So your 'mistake' would have been historically accurate even if you hadn't come up with a solution.

How does that work without the handlebar? Are there handles that can be attached to the internal steering linkage, or is the driver just supposed to strongarm them?

So when does the painting come?

In real life you can actually remove the front wheel and still drive it around
