Derek & Brandon Fiechter Thank you soooo much! I bough all of your songs and I love listening to them :) My favourite song is the 'Mines of Moria'… it's awesome!
One of the reasons I like this channel is that I go into the comments and they're flooded with positivity and people helping each other or inspiring each other, professionals giving advice, beginners sharing things they've found. And on top of all that, beautiful music. This is where I go for advice, inspiration, or just a place to harbor and recharge when I'm having a bad day. Thank you all for this virtual lotus pool. Derek and Brandon just gained a loyal subscriber, and if anyone is having a bad day, I'll point them to here. Thank you all.
"Since they were to come in the days of the power of Melkor, Aulë made the dwarves strong to endure. Therefore they are stone-hard, stubborn, fast in friendship and in enmity, and they suffer toil and hunger and hurt of body more hardily than all other speaking peoples; and they live long, far beyond the span of Men, yet not forever." ― The Silmarillion, "Of Aulë and Yavanna"
+Fergusius "And but for them Glaurung and his brood would have withered all that was left of the Noldor. But the Naugrim (Dwarves) made a circle about him when he assailed them, and even his mighty armour was not full proof against the blows of their great axes"..."Azaghâl drove a knife into his belly, and so wounded him that he fled the field, and the beasts of Angband in dismay followed after him. Then the Dwarves raised up the body of Azaghâl and bore it away; and with slow steps they walked behind singing a dirge in deep voices, as it were a funeral pomp in their country, and gave no heed more to their foes; and none dared to stay them." Far over the misty mountains cold To dungeons deep and caverns old We must away ere break of day To seek the pale enchanted gold. The dwarves of yore made mighty spells, While hammers fell like ringing bells In places deep, where dark things sleep, In hollow halls beneath the fells. For ancient king and elvish lord There many a gleaming golden hoard They shaped and wrought, and light they caught To hide in gems on hilt of sword. On silver necklaces they strung The flowering stars, on crowns they hung The dragon-fire, in twisted wire They meshed the light of moon and sun. Far over the misty mountains cold To dungeons deep and caverns old We must away, ere break of day, To claim our long-forgotten gold. Goblets they carved there for themselves And harps of gold; where no man delves There lay they long, and many a song Was sung unheard by men or elves. The pines were roaring on the height, The wind was moaning in the night. The fire was red, it flaming spread; The trees like torches blazed with light. The bells were ringing in the dale And men looked up with faces pale; The dragon's ire more fierce than fire Laid low their towers and houses frail. The mountain smoked beneath the moon; The dwarves, they heard the tramp of doom. They fled their hall to dying fall Beneath his feet, beneath the moon. Far over the misty mountains grim To dungeons deep and caverns dim We must away, ere break of day, To win our harps and gold from him!”

Finally managing to finish writing a fantasy book after a long hiatus and I swear, listening to these songs on repeat makes it ten times better! Awesome music!
We must reclaim the lost holds of the Karaz Ankor from the wretched Thagi, the foul Urks, and most importantly, retake the Silver Pinnacle from the Uzular! Khazuk!
This is lovely music to listen to while writing a book involving Dwarves and Orcs. It drowns out other sound, while also helping to set a theme in my mental image.

I just subscribed to this channel. I listened to your 1 hour medieval music while doing some work on the computer and it made everything go so much faster for me. I'm a few minutes into this video and have decided I want to listen to all of your music while I work. Thanks for posting this. You guys are great.
Had this playing in the background while playing Dwarf Fortress. I was still in rage mode within ten minutes and a cascade was well on its way, but it was still ten minutes of catchy music while one dorf killed the others.
So I was messing around on my piano, and I came across the following notes: C Eb D C B C D G(low). For lack of better explanation, the rhythm for the notes are: C: Dotted eighth note, Eb: Sixteenth note, D: Eight note, C: eight note, B: eight note, C: eight note, G(low): eight note. I'm not sure if I randomly composed this or it's an existing tune already. :P If anybody has a piano or something, mind playing it and see if it sounds familiar. xD The first word that came to my mind when I came up with the tune was "dwarven." :P
Listened to the whole of it before reading the comments to find out where these songs came from. And there I was WTF, these are yours?! For this world's sake, never let that talent go to waste.

I HAVE to add this album to my Dwarf Fortress Soundsense. Practically every track here would fit beautifully with the ASCII dwarves hewing a home into the mountain and defending it from goblins with steel they harvested with their own picks and forged with their furnaces. (Or using various dwarven traps to take care of the goblins.) (For those that don't know, Soundsense is a mod that replaces Dwarf Fortress's only sound- a single guitar track looped continuously- with various other tracks that change with the seasons, and even a full-fledge suite of sound effects.)
Amazing music. Creative talent. Someday soon you two will be famous soundtrack writers for Hollywood epics and we can say we knew you when you were on TH-cam.

you make great music man i kwon poeple who make dwarven music it dos more sound like crusader music but this, this is dwarven music great work, you earn my subscribe
This is truly beautiful! :oD It sounds just like in a movie. You and your brother has alot of talent. This is so epic and amazing. :o) I can see the dwarves in a battle, or working in a mine. I wish I had skills like yours. 10/10 stars.
gisgalion Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed this dwarf compilation. Thanks for taking the time to comment ... I hope you have a great week. :) - Brandon -
I've long been playing the ROTDG and BOTET mods for Medieval II and I love playing as the Dawi and have pulled my hair out trying to find the music for them and now at last I have! Kudos for uploading this - I adore particularly Misty Mountains and Dwarfen Prince - I have hummed/whistled those tunes for years and never knew of its origin!
Dwarves and Romans had similar musical tastes, I suppose. Very good playlist. With this music, sitting on the toilet can feel like sitting on a king's throne.
I'm really annoyed that the Dwarves are really underrated (movie wise) even in The Hobbit movies... even though I enjoyed it but didn't give the impact I was looking for ... Dain arrival to the battle field should have been better than what was made ...anyway ...a mighty race!
+Moustafa Rahmooni man, in the book, Thorin and his friend charge into battle at Erebor, wearing golds armours, but in the movie they took it off before :'( i was so sad ! that was supposed to be the most epic moment in the trilogy !!
+Gautier Lejeune ...there's countless points that we both can refer to...but you know, even though as a book fan myself I still think that Peter Jackson has done a marvellous job in brining some of these master pieces to the big screen ...I suppose we can't expect everything to be as what we'd have wanted!
Moustafa Rahmooni ofc, the movies were amazing, but when i first read the movie, i was like OMG this scene will be soooooooo epic !! I just got a bit disapointed, but maybe my expectations were too high ^^
My great- grandfather was a blacksmith and he made for me .... steel heart and said your soul is made of steel of great mountains... Today I love mountains and I feel I must be like Dwarf... this power and pride... this thought "For Gold we Trust!"!! Snow rock and glowing sparks... hammers and mine! Dwarfen life! Let's find brothers Moria in real life!!!
I can't find "Je suis passe-partout de Ford-Boyart" in that video! Well maybe you missed it, but that's still some Epic Dwarf song that I recommend to everyone! :D
I'm currently doing something truly unique. I'm playing as a dwarf in a Game of Thrones RPG. I'm trying to win my own lordship so I can form a society of dwarves! A dwarf fortress, if you will. ;)
I never thought someone would have actually put this music out for people to buy without it being in a game or on a soundtrck. I would actually turn on my game and just listen to the music for hours. nice to know I dont have to do it now.

Somehow I doubt gold is magma-safe. The exterior of the tomb IS lined with a magma-safe material like obsidian or adamantine, aye?
Aye, it sounds beautiful, then. (Somehow I doubt that constructed walls will retain their guranteed magma-safe properties in the future, though...)
It's lodged in there really good- too close to a vein to remove...

This is one of my favorite songs to play when we're playing Dungeons and Dragons
My friends and I play D&D and my Dwarf Rouge friend would like this!!
Thanks for saying that! Yes, it can be frustrating trying to find music at times, but that's great that you found what you were looking for. -- Derek
No elves shall enter the fortress, or they shall die a brutal death!
They can enter only if the took something to drink and some good songs.

Anyone else notice at 39:37 that Dwarven citadel is really heavy on the bassoon?
Dwarves and Romans had similar musical tastes, I suppose.
Very good playlist.
With this music, sitting on the toilet can feel like sitting on a king's throne.
Dawi, today we will have our VENGENCE!
Mordekaiser, lol.
I'm not sure how epicly dwarf this music is..but it deserves a thumbs up for the title at the very least.
Good music for crafting something
This is as strong as iron. Great work lads, ye make yer ancestors proud.
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it.
Gautier Lejeune I hear you brother :)
Gautier Lejeune read? you don't read movies you wach them
Buona giornata a voi tutti ragazzi! Bellissimo e fantastico, già immagino glu eroi di quell'epoca!! Grazie! 🤗🤗❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗🤗
68 dislikes, I bet the elves did this...
Nah. It was the damned orcs.
*Guffaws Haughtily*
Knife-eared bastards
Pointy eared leaf-lovers
Pointy eared princess
This music makes my writing ventures far more successful, makes me feel good.

+rixclipz Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. - Brandon -
My great- grandfather was a blacksmith and he made for me .... steel heart and said your soul is made of steel of great mountains... Today I love mountains and I feel I must be like Dwarf... this power and pride... this thought "For Gold we Trust!"!! Snow rock and glowing sparks... hammers and mine! Dwarfen life! Let's find brothers Moria in real life!!!
Being Half Scottish, I feel as if I am closer to a Dwarf than any other Englishman.
you had me on the first note
Amazing selection, a perfect soundtrack for my fantasy readings ... Thanks !

I can't find "Je suis passe-partout de Ford-Boyart" in that video! Well maybe you missed it, but that's still some Epic Dwarf song that I recommend to everyone! :D
This is amazing, I love it
This compilation should be added to the the definition of Epic in English Dictionary.
+JC Stelu Thank you! I really appreciate you saying that. :) - Brandon -
I'm currently doing something truly unique.
Yes, I'm glad you like it! -- Derek
This makes me want to go mine gold for days and fight wars against orcs.
Poor dwarves getting buggered by the Darkspawn.
One day, we'll rise again.
