I have a pair of the BA A40 series 1. Their grills rattle too. I just remove them when listening. Btw, that A70 can't be a version 1. The version 1's used Seas tweeters with a round frame. From series 2 on they used the BA made tweeters with these rectangle frames.
THANK YOU for mentioning "Boston Acoustics". Their line up in the 80s and 90s (A40s A60s series) are incredible sounding speakers. I'm a professional music producer and mixing engineer, I've mixed hundreds of records on the A40s and A 60. To me, they're the "much better" NS10s.
