This is the best tutorial I have watched on foundation paper piecing the 1930's Farmer's Wife Quilt. Thank you so much for all the time and effort you have put into making it. I can't wait to get started on my quilt.

Wow what a lot of work. You really must be inspired to make this. I'm not sure I'd have the perseverance. I really look forward to watching your journey. You have given me courage to try something simpler :)

Thank you so much for watching! Yes, I am very excited to make this quilt! It makes me so happy to hear you want to try FPP. Small steps are just fine. You might find you love it and want to keep pushing for more complex projects. If you don't enjoy it, at least you'll be able to say you tried it! :) It felt a little backwards and confusing to me the first couple blocks I tried, but after a few, I found my rhythm and it made sense to me. I say this in case you feel frustrated with it in the beginning. It's worth trying a few times. 🩷

This is such a great tutorial. I have the book and the CD somewhere, I can’t really use it. My question is, where can I get the paper-pieced pattern? I have the templates, but I want to paper- piece the blocks.

I'm glad you found it helpful, Lori! The only place I know to get the paper-pieced pattern is on the disk, unfortunately.

I think I need to try this! I have the book but your video is really helping to inspire me to go for it! What did you spray on the red fabric? Just water or some kind of best press spray?

Hi, Deanna! Sorry I'm just now seeing this. TH-cam doesn't alert me to replies to comments, only new ones, but fortunately I happened to see this. :) I use steam first, then Best Press. I'm glad you feel inspired to give it a try! Best wishes!
