    Excellent tie, I don't own a hook that big. Of course I am a fresh water fisherman. If the fish can get off, he wins that time. I don't worry about it much. I just like to catch about four meals of trout a year. I really like it but I wouldn't take more because there are many fishermen and if they all took their limit wouldn't be many fish left. Dipped a hook a couple of days this week even though it was cold. My wife was in the hospital so I used the time wisely. Sean

    Do you Cut the ep fibre to the nente you want.

      Yeah, I cut it first then taper it by pulling the ends to make them uneven,

    what weight of rod are you using for flies that size?

      You can cast them on an 8, they're not that heavy or wind resistant really. But if you are fishing for GT you better put them on a 12 wt and forget about igfa leaders
