  • Are you good at fixing and repairing things? Have you learned how to talk about that in English? In this free English class you'll learn some words and phrases to talk about repairing things. Sometimes things break and they need to be repaired or fixed. It's possible that you are really good at fixing things yourself, or maybe you are someone who likes to get a professional to do that work for you. Either way, it's a good idea as an English learner to know how to talk about things that need to be fixed.
This English lesson will begin with an explanation of the difference between to fix, to repair, to mend, and to patch. In this free English class you'll also learn words and phrases like DIY, good with your hands, needs some work, handy, fixer upper, crazy glue, duct tape, and more!
I hope you enjoy this English lesson about fixing and repairing.
⌛ Remember: Always watch the video three times. Twice today with English subtitles on, and once tomorrow with the English subtitles off. This will reinforce the English you have learned!

I have just à little question because I heard you saying at several times the expressions "it 's that big" , "it's this tall" or "it's that heavy"
Could you explain in wich situation we might rather use "that" than "this" to express the quantifier or qualifier this way?
    Thanks a lot,
    And best wishes to you!

I know you guys use terms like reno and remodel in those cases, but are there options to go with “fix”/“repair” instead? And what about the “fit up from a scratch” term? Thanks in advance!

Hello, Bob! Can you explain why you said" there's too many things in your bathroom that are broken" instead of "there are too many things"? Was that a mistake or some rule? I've met that several times in films and I don't know what to say to my students about "there's/there are.
