Hey @stateofdecay will we see our favourite heartland characters return to take on Mt tanner? Maybe creating an entire new half to the map where we can go further up the mountain. And bring back some OGs from SoD1. Heartland 2.0???

I have a theory that there was a secret lab under the burned Marshall School where Black Fever was created. Then the plague got out and infected the staff, to prevent the release of the infected, someone uninfected blew up the laboratory and, by the way, the school above it. and Black Fever entered the groundwater and contaminated the water in the valley. How does it sound? Makes sense?
@@idygofeniks1537 that’s not a bad idea, but there’s also the chance it’s a government weapon that sprung loose on the country, as we know it’s not confirmed just how wide spread this is, in trumbull valley during SoD1 in the field with the crashed plane with a broken biohazard container amongst a lootable debris. MAYBE that housed a parasite or some contagion that got the infection to the valley
I just want to know the definitive fates of Marcus, Ed, and Maya. I really hope they survived and I hope they are included in the future settings in SoD3.

I think Lily's character is great. I always find it quite comforting with her voice popping up in the background all the time and enjoy her storylines. But I think IzzBee is my favourite npc.
You can even see the differing manifestations of the Red Talon faction even in the ones that you recruit. You might recruit one that focuses on the humanitarian efforts, another identifies with their militaristic tendencies, and occasionally you will run across a RT that has found a reason not to trust Red Talon.
You guys are the best devz ever, keep up the great work! Personally loving update 33!!! Its such a better experience! Would love more lore! :) thank you for giving us the best zombie games since 2013!
That was an interesting discussion about how Marcus came to be one of the two starting characters. I agree with their reasoning and that it was a good choice, but one thing sort of surprised me. With all of the many intentional references to past zombie movies, TV shows, etc... sprinkled into the first game, and it's DLCs; I had always presumed that Marcus's character (especially because he's one of the closest to a "main character" among the survivors in the base game) was an intentional nod to Ben from the original 1968 version of Night of The Living Dead. Not only were they both black male protagonists in a piece of zombie media, but their personalities were so similar that I thought it couldn't be a coincidence.
I loved marcus and maya a little less Ed though but strange that marcus and ed after the intro in mt tanner they really dont feel anymore like friends dont know why but i noticed that last time i played it
Halloween had me create a new community and explore some new content. On Marcus: I always thought personally he was a chance to let the player give the 'Hero' of Night of the Living Dead a fair chance instead of the raw deal that movie provided.
A suggestion to the next stream; have some pre-recorded footage running in the background instead of playing it, the reason is two fold. 1. It looks distracting, and it doesn't further the conversations. (sometimes the sound of it even took away from the conversations). Might even give a more engaging conversation. 2. It would be easier to control volumes for all parties. Let me just say I do enjoy these, and it makes sense to play the game when that's what you're promoting. Features, storylines or just a fun time ect. as there have been loads of :).
I remember it was like August of 2013 when I get State of Decay for the first time. I had downloaded it off xbox market place on the Xbox 360 just on a whim looking for something to tide me over until gta5 came out in September that same year. I never imagined how good State of Decay was going to be. I was instantly hooked and played it everyday until gta5 came out. Now as of today all these years later I'm getting State of Decay 2. Finally lol.

Please, pleeeease, tell us more about the characters from SoD1 in the next video - about the Church group (especially Sam, Alan and Jacob), about the Wilkerson brothers (especially Job and his mysterious disappearance), the Grange (what is the fate of Quentin?), the Law (and more about Ray as "absolute villain"! Was he originally supposed... to be Becca's killer?.. 🤔), the Militaries, Doc Hanson - how did you create these characters, their stories and what is their fates (unless they died due to the actions of the players, of course)? And it would be insanely interesting to know about unrealized stories, missions and stuffs! 🙏

*This comment has some spoilers* - but I want input from others. Finding the Echo lab on Providence Ridge was what spiked many questions about the different factions. It's an Echo/Military lab, but with Red Talon & Cleo equipment inside as well, and clearly, some nasty stuff happened at that base between the factions after investigating what's left. I'm starting to think that Echo/Military is up to something bigger and more advanced, and Red Talon has/or is starting to understand that. (Or as the devs say, it's a disagreement of views on how to handle the situation.) As for me thinking that Echo is up to something more than engineering bleeding-edge equipment, the side missions with the mysterious set of beeps found over the radio, is usually a person dressed in Military clothes with Echo equipment on, with a strange note about Echo labs. To go along with all that, the bodies you find at military outposts, on the street, really anywhere, don't have Red Talon, military, or any distinctive clothing to identify by. Was that on purpose?
Hi, I really love this game. I have some concern about the gore in this game. The gore is really good, but I think it lacks of blood, like when the blood splat, there is just little amount of blood on the ground. Can you guys somehow in the next update makes the gore bloodier?

To be honest, I love State of Decay 1 and its Lore. I like State of Decay 2, but the world feels dead. From the beginning the same repetitive missions, boring and without bloody sense. Find and rescue his police brother from him... If the police brother dies, you rescue the couple from him. Man or woman. Never both of the same sex. The father or mother of a deceased child looking for his mace or his hippopotamus... The man locked in a garage that cannot be opened. Missions so... Boring, meaningless. All the characters do the same missions. I would have liked that the bases of the players could have been decorated to their liking and the characters could use all the decoration. So many chairs, fire pits and no one uses them. Skins of clothes reused ad nauseam. They don't add women's clothing. Are they macho? Where was a dress like Becca's? A recolor of the same dress? Don't they have originality? Sorry... I'm tired of so many weapons and recolors. when will they add more missions? And the fact that when using Unrealengine 4 they cannot add more things to the game. I do not ask for more maps, nor bases. I ask that they add missions, some feminine clothes.
Oh no, there is more testing of the stuff instead of early release of an update where even more people would cry cause the game is unplayable... Be thankful that they at least still support the game.
I really am not liking the planned update. I'll give it a shot, but I think this will ruin the game. Infestations are not fun, never have been and are annoying, and this new crap, is like yikes forever.

what reason would she have to do this, she could have just accessed portal security for ICBMS and launched them over the world

I really like the fact that some of these things aren't explained. It allows the players to create their own ideas of how things came to be.
