Just got mine today. Breaking the panels apart wasn't nearly as easy as it looked. I'm watching this to see if there is some trick to it. There was no gradual bending of the main panels. It was snap apart or nothing. The really hard part were the two side panels. My fingers just were not strong enough so I covered the panels with painters masking tape and used a crescent wrench and needle nose pliers to gradually split them, starting at one end and working along the split. If you have a vice to hold one side you might want to use that.
Is it firmware updatable? Asking because it looks like there are 3 features missing: 1) USB MIDI input for simple Note On/Off control of the Wave mode (extra points for CC based control of the parameters) 2) Pitch CV & Gate/Amplitude input options on Wave mode (the 4 inputs are perfect for this) 3) FX mode, preferably providing 1 slot for NTS-1 style custom FXs With these 3 missing features, this little thing would truly be perfect! :) (this is wishful thinking because I'm buying one anyway)
@@obbekjaer eh :) They even have this on their product page: «But the NTS-2 is much more than just an oscilloscope. The flexible Wave Generator mode has 2 oscillators with dedicated outputs, so you can test your synth rig or just get creative!» ...it's a bit of a shame to have 4 channels in, 2 channels out and a DSP "brain" in-between and not use those ins (+"brain") to CV control the Wave Generator. Same for at least an FX mode to use that DSP power together with the available I/O. Oh well... it'd be nice if Korg makes a (firmware) revision of this nice little gadget.
Check with your reseller. Mine called me a few minuted ago to tell me that my reservation is now available and I'll go pick it up today at lunch time.. Can't wait
And where, the only site listed on KORG's page explicitly says they won't carry the bundle (just the book i guess?) I've been stressed out since yesterday when I learned it exists bc they're going to be GONE as soon as they release unless they plan to continue making them. But calling it a "special" bundle or anything qualified like that makes me think, "limited".
@@johnwethekylow i feel like given the hype surrounding this thing, they would really be shooting themselves in the foot bad making this a limited run.
Doesn't work with batteries, the screen lights up 1 second then fades completely to black. Overheating when powered via USB. Oh well, very disappointed by the quality, I hope I can return it...

This is not a synth afaik, just an analyzer.
@@N1h1L3 with 2 wave generators with variable pitch... And 4 DC coupled inputs... So... The hardware is there and the software is begging for it.
@@N1h1L3 It directly says synth on the side panel.

Is there a plan to release the NTS-2 without the book? Or bundled with the NTS-1 instead of the book?
yes that is possible now
If only it was released into the real world!
Ok great, but when can we actually get it?
