I have one on the way. Because of the age of the recordings, and the fact that there's demos and unfinished stuff on there, I wasn't expecting much from the music, but as a Kiss and Eric fan, I had to have it. After this review, I'm looking forward to hearing this. Been a Kiss fan since 78, met Eric on the Animalize tour in 84 here in the UK. He's the one who inspired me to want to play drums. Great guy, great drummer. Thanks for the cool review.

I always loved his drumming. But as the years have gone by I've grown to appreciate his drumming on those albums and his live performances even more. Maybe it's just nostalgia, but I'm inclined to say he had a way of playing that made his drumming identifiable. There are some amazing drummers out there today, but they seem to lack personality in their playing. The drummers that came out of the late 60s and 70s seemed to develop their own sound. Nicko McBrain, Ian Paice, John Bonham, etc., ...none sounded like the other, which made their bands sound unique, too. Anyway, thanks for the comment!

Haha, yep! I stopped in at three stores in my area on RSD and all three sold out of the Eric Carr release - both on CD and the box set.

Hi, thanks for checking it out! Unfortunately, it's not Eric singing "All Hell's Breakin' Loose." The whole song is a cover by the band Z02: Paulie Z on vocals and guitar, David Z on bass, and Joey Cassatta on drums. They also did "Carr Jam 1981" on this album. So, those two songs are more like a tribute sort of thing, whereas the rest of the album features Eric in some capacity.
