Beautiful guitar and beautiful playing. Can’t get enough of listening to these historical pieces of art!
    Thanks.

Beautiful. As is typical with the '58 Strats, the decal has worn away. I have a '58 custom color blonde Strat that I will never part with. It was my uncle's guitar and he willed it to me (I could never afford one otherwise). He was a country/western player and played on a local radio station in the 50's and early 60's. I hope my playing does it justice as much as his did.

qigung that’s every strat lovers dream right?! If you love it, then you are doing it justice 👍

What kind of neck profile does it have? Lots of variation at that time...just curious

@@jasong546I'd say it has a thin to medium D shaped neck. It feels very comfortable. I also have a '74 strat with a very thin neck. The quality control of 70's CBS strats was hit and miss, but this one is perfect - about 7.5 lbs. As a contrast I also has a '76 and it was a 9lb boat anchor!

qigung that’s so cool! I have tried, because I have tried to build some guitars, to read all I can about my fav, the strat of course. One good one I read, and go back to once in awhile has a few employees’ interviews, and they talk about sending out necks that were actually wrong, but people liked them, like the soft v for example. Another guy talks about how after being under cbs for awhile some would get as much as 50 layers of finish. It’s called “the Stratocaster Chronicles” by Tom Wheeler. Puts a lot of misconceptions about those things to bed, in the words of the employees. I have played a couple from that time in stores like CME and a couple stores in the SF Bay and Napa, just before the vintage rush started. A 57 was my favorite, and it was not all beat up. But anyway rambling sorry. I hope you can cherish your uncle’s guitar, and then maybe teach a young person in your family about it, and pass it along to them. Keep it making music for as many years as possible!

@@jasong546: Thanks, Jason. Yes. I think I have The Stratocaster Chronicles. I believe that was put out during the Strat's 50th Anniversary. Some of the employees were also recalling that they would set poorly-manufactured guitars to the side, but the CBS executives would make them sell them anyway just to make the money. Very sad. I have been collecting guitars since I was in music school in the mid 1980's - many of which I wish I would have held onto. I can't afford the 50's and 60's vintage Fenders & Gibsons, but there are still some that are reasonably priced and attainable. I recently purchased a 1967 Fender Coronado (with tremolo) for $1600 and I really like it. I also have a '63 Jaguar, a '64 Duo-Sonic and a 1971 Gibson J-40 acoustic. I suppose there are worse addictions. LOL.

Look at that rolled fretboard edges onto a 7.25 inches radius. That´s called butter.

Nice guitar but demo tone amp and setting is not fit to this awesome guitar.

Yep! Needs a nice clean bell like Fender amp to demo a Strat like this!
