Great video and thanks for the closer look at the gps mate. I think you undersold the benefit of the built in vifly buzzer though. I put one of their vifly finder buzzers on all my 5" freestyle quads and they work amazingly. Having a device that has the same functionality as the finder buzzer and warms up your gps is awesome.

HD video transmitters (DJI + Sharkbyte) produce a lot of RF noise close to the GPS signal frequency, so a satellite fix is hard to get. Especial on all of those bind and fly quads where the GPS is literally right next to the VTX (Bad Idea). This is mostly a good tool for HD VTX quads.
Really what you need is for Crossfire to remember the last GP location of your quad even if power is shut off. So if youc rash your quad, you have to keep your Transmitter on to keep the diplay of the last GPS coordinates.. and if you accidentally turn it off or disconnect power, you lost the location of your quad.
Not always true. Twice happened to me that gps stopped updating in the first hiccup of failsafe. So vtx feed and radio telemetry received gps values were like 5-10seconds away from the moment of crash. That's about 50m away in my cases. So I was looking at the wrong location. Only realized that after I found my drone on the river.
Just got this for my 1st gps build and decided to skip it for 1st install. My GPS locked 8 satellites in about a minute so not sure if i will need to install this. Im gonna keep it for a future build. Cool idea though.

Not exactly. Its an attachment for your GPS thatll allow it to turn on before powering up your quad. There are separate GPS devices that you could install that would have that function your lookin for

GpS is nice when drone can return to home.. I successfully gps recover my drones before putting it in longer flights.

Yea it didn’t turn on automatically for me. But I started to form a habit of turning it on when I start setting up my goggles and stuff anyways.
