I was blessed to rock out with Led Zeppelin back in late May of 1977 in Landover, MD. I was a USAF enlisted airman, and invested my whole paycheck on LZ concert tickets. Sold all but two - at a profit - and took a 16-yo date with me. I was 19. Unforgettable.
Imagine if you got a certificate of what song Jimmy played on it. Some people get Stairway or the Rain song, then you open the case and the certificate says ‘The Crunge’.
I love Jimmy Page. If it wasn't for Jimmy I wouldn't play the way I do. But seriously Gibson No kid can afford either of these models, for that matter your average adult can't either.
Beautiful. No doubt that a lot of hard work went into the production. But this is just another guitar for the wealthy collectors. An art piece for the wall.
I can't afford it, and most average people/players can't either, but for those who can, enjoy it! That guitar is absolutely beautiful and sounds amazing!
World's biggest Page fan- the man basically taught me how to play guitar. However these special edition guitars for rich people to hoard is getting disappointing.
Please do a Gibson USA collection for Jimmy, like you've done with Slash (who also rules). And while you're at it, how about a Steve Clark signature model?
One big thing not being mentioned by Gibson. That the SJ-200 Page played on the first album and Julie Felix show was never his guitar. It belonged to producer and early Page employer Mickie Most and had also been played by the likes of Jeff Beck and Big Jim Sullivan. It’s like as if Gibson asked Page, “are there any other Gibsons we can make a $20k signature guitar of??” We don’t care if it wasn’t yours and even if you only played it a handful of times!” When it comes to acoustics and Page, the only signature guitars that warrant being made are of his Harmony Sovereign and his Martin D28! 0:26
Business is Business and Gibson is all about the money...just like Jimmy aside from being a pioneering artist. R.I.P. Peter Grant; the Led Zeppelin empire wouldn't have been the same without him nor Arnie-Cheers ps nice piece of wood ❤
Interesting fact. The Gibson J200 that Jimmy Page played on the first Zeppelin album wasn't actually owned by him. He borrowed that guitar from Mickey Most to play 3 acoustic tunes on the record, then it was returned. He later asked Mickey if he could borrow it again when he made Zeppelins second album and Mickey said no.
“I keep hearing about all these kids playing, and it’s wonderful.” What isn’t wonderful? Those kids will NEVER be able to afford these guitars. Hell, common working folks won’t be able to afford these. These are gonna be wall hangars or closet queens for collectors who buy these things, never play them and hide them away.
So many good or very good luthiers building guitars as good or better than these ones at the fifth of the price (or less!) Actually a bit of a shame to present these nice but unaffordable guitars...
Just curious. with the Collectors Edition being limited to 50 because the headstock is signed and they were actually played by Jimmy, what defines "being played?" Was it a simple strum of a few chords? How long were they played for? I think its cool tho that it comes with the pick he used to play each unique instrument. But I noticed that these two editions of the guitar are the exact same. The one limited to 100 was hand signed at the label. the one to 50 signed on the back of the headstock and was played. Now I am thinking, is is worth $7k for a signature in a different spot on the guitar, and being played...along with the pick he played it with? I mean both are limited and hand signed..just curious. I ordered the Collectors Edition without even looking at the Players edition, perhaps I should have, lol. Guess long term investment, the Collectors edition will fetch higher resale if desired, due to these small facts?
I knew this wasn't for guitarists, it's for "investors" lol Maybe if that circle keeps trading stuff with each other, 99% of the world can't even consider it
Best I can tell looking online a real 1964 J-200 is cheaper. They might be crossing the line when the real vintage guitars are cheaper. It'll probably drive the prices of the real ones up, actually.
5k would get you a sublime handmade guitar! 20k??? Lovely to see gibson are making these for people to actually play not to stick in their glass cabinet amongst the other hyper expensive collection 😕

I wish I could've heard Jimmy actually play it!
I was going to say the same thing, I'd also like to hear how the actual guitar sounds.
@@elvillegas1211 i wonder if he can physically play at the same standard. He's getting on a bit now, and it's been a long time since he played live.
Of course, I didn't except to hear him like he played in the 70's, but just the pleasure to see him play a little bit. 🙂
I suppose he played in on the first album, though the sound of a guitar is very different from being recorded and finished result.
You're just supposed to buy it ;D it's the looks and it's Jimmy page. Give them the money already.
I want that cabin in the woods, beautiful!
Gorgeous! Now please make some Jimmy Page signatures for us common folks. A regular Gibson USA & Epiphone model. 😎
We love you Jimmy, thank you for the wonderful music
The Master and his tools create perfection.
The real question is ..... Did he agree to do : The Collection . Bc what we will see will absolutely shock us
That would be incredible. Much bigger news than these money grab limited runs Gibson has been doing.
it would be insane.
The price is pretty shocking, that's for sure.. 😵💫
I don't understand the question

All of my love to Jimmy! Peace and Love!
Such a wonderful guitar👍that fits you page and led Zeppelin 1 in the back ground👍
Sold out ALREADY!
Give us The Collection: Jimmy Page already! He's not getting any younger
Very nice guitar but i can't see many young people getting the chance to play one.
my thoughts exactly. I love his music but young people won't be the ones playing this instrument... theres more than 10.000 reasons against it.
Pricing is the issue. I’m not paying 12000 for a guitar I can get for 500.
@@boosted2022 It's 20 000...

Love the tune o matic bridge!
Please, make an Epiphone version of every Page guitar model so I could at least begin dreaming about getting one.
I really hope there’s a production model coming. By far my favorite Zeppelin song to play
White summer 1970 ❤🎸
True greatness
What a beauty. Gibson makes work or art.
Love you Jimmy as we all do!!❤
He’s playing it right now,friend
I had a 68 I miss her dearly 😢
Awesome , I always hoped you guys would collaborate with Jimmy and reproduce that guitar .

There are so many young people, especially kids, that will immediately pay thirteen thousand dollars for this fine guitar. Jimmy's absolutely right!
Kids playing a thirteen grand dollar guitar....I can really imagine that! 😂😂
Hahahahahah :D :D. Now this was funny!!
20 grand not 13
£17,500 for any one of 50 units - I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't all already sold upon release!
You can get a pristine vintage one for less that these are lol
And someone should tell Jimmy that in the real life, young kids do not play 20K€ Gibson J200, and not only young kids, by the way… 😂😂😂
Love that Man. The Magic remains in his hands!⭐️❤️⭐️
