- Spring is in full swing here at Old Byrd Farm, and today’s video is all about tackling those tough cleanup jobs and enjoying the surprises along the way! Join me as we embark on a sharp mission to clean up a scattered collection of glass shards that have surfaced on the farm. Safety first, as we clear the area to protect our two and four-legged friends!
Once the glass is safely disposed of, we seize the opportunity to metal detect in the newly cleaned area. What hidden treasures will we find beneath the surface? It's always an adventure when we start digging into the farm’s history!
After our treasure hunt, we’ll mow the lower "chicken coop field" and catch up with some of the farm’s most charming residents. Meet our delightful chickens, Jerry the Turkey, the quirky guineas, and welcome a new feathered friend-the OBF duck!
Stay tuned for a day full of cleaning, discovery, and plenty of farmyard fun. Thanks for watching, and don't forget to like and subscribe for more adventures on Old Byrd Farm! - บันเทิง

Clover is a fantastic plant for reviving soil. So glad it's growing on your property! P.S. Whoever comes on your channel to give you flack and/or ruin your day for their own pleasure deserves a decided "block." My husband battles a sensitivity to heat due to heat exhaustion once. Best to keep a lot of water with you and a good shading straw hat on. Best wishes for continued success!
Robert , I sent you a little package today for the Old Byrd Farm. Please let me know you got it. Thank you. Linda from Ohio
Who would dump such a large amount of glass on your property? Recently? The farm is looking awesome! Opening up so much and bringing in the light! And it's good to see Jerry back in form. I was so worried about him after the attack. Thanks Robert for all the updates.
Why would someone dump their garbage for someone else to clean up.thats disrespectful.but your yard looks awesome.thank you for sharing.
Someone who’s a jerk, that’s for sure
And they even stacked it neatly on pallets. 🫤
One thing's for sure: with farm property, whether it's in pristine condition or a work in progress like the Old Byrd Farm, you're never going to run out of things that need to be done.
AMEN!
Robert you don’t have to explain yourself it’s nice to have friends stop by.
Robert, i sent you a little package today to your post office box for your Old Byrd farm please let me you got it. Thanks. Linda from Ohio
We drove through Waverly Hall this morning; what a lovely place!
the farm is ever changing and really looking great. Kindness is free, thank you, Robert.
BTW, the clover is beautiful 😍
Thank you! 😊
Everything is so green! Glad you are feeling better. The Farm gets prettier with every video.
The window glass is a "PANE!" Pun intended.😅😅 Blessings from Michigan.
Good one
Don’t worry about what others judge as time frames. You are your own boss, you don’t need that stress.
The clean up looks great. The birds 🦃🐓🐔and the bees and the flowers and the trees all look good at the farm. It sure is a good feeling to see you enjoying your place and all you have done.☺️💕
The farm is looking better and better all the time.
Oh, you have a Mr. Peepers! When I was a child, my oldest sister brought home a baby duck after a fair. It looked just like yours. Our neighborhood has a pair of ducks that I help feed. I heard a cicada once in Missouri and was amazed at the sound. Stay hydrated, Robert. We all care about you.
I had heat exhaustion last summer, bad. I was down for a week! It is no joke.cicadas are very loud! Great work Robert😊
So very sorry you had to clean up glass that someone has dumped on your place 😢 but on a better note its looking very nice and love the clover as well just beautiful 😍 Thank you for sharing with us take care.
Stay Hydrated Brother!! Sounds like you got " the bear" heat exhaustion
Plant some red clover where you had to push the top soil back. The clover roots will rebuild the soil and it'll be pretty to look at.
For that glass, build a screening table with 1/4" or 1/2" hardware cloth to screen out the glass. No very expensive and cleans the glass out of your topsoil.
With all that glass you could make your farm a greenhouse
It was all broken
I don't think I have ever seen red clover. It's beautiful!
Robert you are not immune to fatigue, after Covid you have to take it slow. Drink plenty of water, get good sleep and eat well.
Sending you a high-five and a pat on the back for a job very well done!😊
I'm sorry you had to clean up after some fool dumped their glass on your property. Very kind and considerate of you to clear out the topsoil as well.
Thanks for showing us your chickens, ducks, and Mr Turkey! They're beautiful!
Shucks, I'm older than that penny you dug up!😅 (By 6 yrs) Back then a penny meant more than it does now. Seeing that it was fairly new when it was lost, I'm sure it was a pretty penny in its time.
I'm sorry you got sick and glad you feel better. Yea, the Covid takes it's toll. You're still recovering. Take care!🤕
Thanks for taking us along with you as you clean up and clear out that part of your field. It looks absolutely wonderful! Your hard work definitely shows.
Awww Robert so sorry that person caused you so much pain and sickness. Some people are inconsiderate. We all love you and support you. You decide when your videos are taken and you don’t need to explain to anyone. Just don’t say that is a different day. The person that dumped all that mess on your property will have it come back to bite him. Karma
Robert that was my dog that cut its pad on a discarded beer bottle i told you about that a long time ago i did all the first aid for bad cuts but he lost too much made it to vet but had lost too much to save!
This story is going to stick with me just like it did with Robert. That's just too sad.
So sorry. I have had to carry a dog a long ways after he got cut on a broken bottle.
So sad
Hi Robert, one thing-stay hydrated - find some shade & take breaks !! Make sure ya have snacks !!
Great job, Robert! 👏 You're doing such an awesome job with both channels! Such hard work and you do it all. Love watching it all. Thank you!
Great job on the clean-up. Good to see Jerry struttin' his stuff ❤
Clover honey is hard to beat.
Wish I were near, I would love to collect that glass from you. Greenhouse! Blessings Robert!
Almost all broken
I've never seen clover that pretty!
The OBF looking good
Hey from Memphis. I love that clover too. Good to see the birds since we heard from them last video. Duck looks right at home on the Old Byrd Farm.
I'm cleaning out stuff to donate and watching Robert make the OBF look so pretty!!!
Enjoyed watching that job. Excellent!🎉
Robert,
I hope that glass was an old dumping, what a mess!
Good cleanup!
Cheers,
Rik Spector
awe I Love clover and wow amazing cleaning up Robert-cool ya had visitors 💯👍❤️hi duck and JERRY👋- Why would anyone dump broken glass
On a working farm I’m sorry Robert that happened on the amazing farm- fun to watch metal detector time
Chill bill 'you got to dig it all, you've got to dig it all '
Sweet yard , now we can see the fawna . ❤ Please keep hydrated on these hot georgia days.😊
G’day Robert, some people haven’t any respect for other people’s property. So glad you were able to get rid of all that glass. Really enjoyed this video, that Kubota made short work of that mowing.
Hope you’re able to work out just what those bricks/foundations were for, back in time when the OBF was a working farm…intrigued. Please take care. 🇦🇺
I can’t believe someone made that decision to dump their glass on your property. Living in a small town you can’t tell me people don’t know who you are n the OBF place. They’ve got a lot of nerve doing that. I’d be furious but it seems you took it in stride. At least you didn’t show us if you were upset by it. They just made more work for you. Either way, property is looking so good n you found a 1967 penny. Wouldn’t that be a wheat penny?
♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🐾🐾🐾🐾
Great job Robert! Hope karma gets the loser who dumped the glass!
Love Mr. duck and I love seeing your chickens and your turkey. I have 18 chickens myself, beautiful rooster you have.
In South Georgia, we always pronounced it sic-kay-dah.
Up north too!
Great job Robert looks great better get a dozen pins for the tractor 😂 that stuff is tuff eating those pins up. 😂 have a blessed evening 😊
1967 penny!! It’s as OLD as me! Farm is looking good!! Please keep yourself hydrated Robert!
Aloha 🌺 Robert! Remember to hydrate. Lots of places are complaining about the heat. Please take Care. Much Aloha🌺🥰
That purple clover is so pretty. I get a clover that is very close to ground. Not pretty.
Hey Robert!
Awesome job you did there!!! You've got it looking good 💙💙
I don't get to watch every day but I really love watching your videos 💙💙
God bless you, keep you healthy and safe 🙏🙏🙏
Much love 🫶🫶
I LOVE RED CLOVER!!! It's one of the things I miss most about the Springtime in Southern Miss where I grew up. YES, we have gorgeous Blue Bonnets and Indian Paintbrush, BUT OH HOW I MISS the Red Clover.
It's so cool how the dogs stand around or running around watching u 😆.. it's kinda like..that dude's gonna work himself death, look at him go 😆.. awesome job on more of the yard and area cleaned up..lot nice shady spots too.. thanks for sharin.. from South Carolina
You need to keep hydrated this time of year my hubby does the same thing gets busy with stuff and doesn’t drink water then he get headaches too
So true!
From experience, small pieces of glass through the years will get dull edges from weather.
But we didn’t have dogs so.
I love watching your videos, Robert. If I wasn't clear over here in Oregon, I'd love to volunteer to help you on the farm or go on one of the history adventures.
Be careful. Recovering from Covid takes awhile, especially when you try to do heavy work.
Yess !! the cicadas are out here in Georgia---gives you a headache if you stay out in it !!! Remember to stay hydrated out there !!
Yep. over here in the Augusta area it sounds like flying saucers from a 50's sc-fi movie.
Why not move that glass-infiltrated topsoil into the pit beside the shop? (I missed part of that thread, so it may be too late for that). Wisteriectomy is going quite well, with all your work.
Well another good job done Robert ✔ 👏 👍 i also noticed you can see the road now 👍 that's how much work you have done ✔ 👍 did old farm 🚜 house 🏠 have a out house ( toilet) ect sometimes bottles were thrown down in the pit ? I'm always amazed how the farm house is coming along 😊 you dne a good job 👏 Robert and your mates who helping you 👏 👍 😀 Andrew south wales uk 👌 👍 👏 😀 🇬🇧
Yeah, I really wish I could find the privy!
All holes matter, you have to dig. LOL
😅
Glad to know I’m not the only one who refers to that spider as a jumping spider
Great job Robert.
"Cicada"Middle "A" is pronounced hard. 😉👍
Robert, may I make a suggestion? Well, I'll make it anyway. That bare ground...throw-out some kind of seeds. Be it grass, wild flowers or veggie seeds... you and I both know,it's not good for land to lay baren.
Love seeing you find The Farm again. Take care and wear a hat too. Lol !! I say that like a Grandma.
Wild flowers!
I feel for you when you have migraines as I suffer with migraines as well. As for the person dumping, glass is not fair .you are doing an amazing job
you always say "it's probably a pull tab' and jinx yourself; it becomes a prophecy, without fail !
😅
Old rocks combined with the pull tabs sounds like an old trash incinerator. Had one on my place. Used the bricks to make flower beds and edge my front walk.
Maybe you can use those windows for a greenhouse?
Looking good Robert!
That part of the farm is beautiful So nice to see it being lovingly cared for. Be careful of all the hidden glass shards when you're out in that section, Robert. What a horrible thing to do by someone by dumping all that glass on your property. But it's all looking good. Maybe next time you'll find something exciting with the metal detector, but it's fun to imagine the possibilities.
You had heat exhaustion. Be careful working on these hot days! Take more frequent breaks to coolnoff and drink water!
Love your hair!
I forgot to add that I think what you are doing with and to that place is amazing!
What a slime to dump one's own garbage on someone else's property. I hope your security cameras caught it. Slimes should be jailed or forced to work at the dump.
Sounds like you had a sunstroke .
Limited stock of Old Byrd Farm “Cooper’s Exclusive” T-Shirts are now available on our eBay store. You can also find these for sale at Cooper General in Waverly Hall.
Right now I have 4 mediums, 6 large, 1 xl, and 3 3xl listed on eBay. Look for the individual listings in the eBay store: www.ebay.com/usr/oldbyrdfarm
Need a soil sifter later, a handy tool, easily made, mixing soils and mortar for those bricks for later recycled projects. Thanks for the video, glad you're well.
Last year, a body was found in a big black industrial trash bag thrown on wooded road a couple miles from my home! 👀
You found a penny that was made one year before Martin Luther King was assassinated! 🤷♀️
Oh wow
Looking better ever video👏👍🇺🇸
Haven't seen farm cat for awhile......did I miss him?
It must feel good to go between the trees without the mysteria …the farm is getting better each day..
Take care of yourself make sure you stay hydrated
It will take awhile before your strength gets back from Covid ❤
Anyways the bug giggles it's belly and attracts fish like bass
Love your videos and enjoy watching them every time. May the lord bless and protect you Robert and working on the old Byrd farm cleaning junk up
I hope you’re drinking enough water. The clover is beautiful!
I love the blue shirt. Looks good on you! You can’t work all the time! That looks like fun!
Yikes! What a dangerous mess to clean up and all of the mowing! You and the Kubota do it again. It looks beautiful afterwards. Good to see all of the fowl and new duck. Fun metal detecting for a bit. Migraine, I sure hope you are feeling better by now. Good seeing that part of the farm. Enjoyed it. 👍👍❣️❣️
Yeah super dangerous really. One slip could be a bad day
@@THEOLDBYRDFARMVLOG a very, very bad day. So glad you were not injured!! ❣️
Robert, your strong work ethic probably doesn't allow you to take as many breaks and drink as much water as you need. Take care of yourself please.
good job
why didn't you use your metal detector to find your pin
Yessir, life happens. I had to suspend my weeding d/t high winds blowing my dust & pollen, made me sneezing up a storm. Sore nose from all the blowing despite taking an antihistamine. Grr.---Metal detecting...shucks, I'd be excited to see it all come up!---I've also been wondering why I haven't been hearing the fowl. Thanx for the updates!
Boy I wish I had those windows! I would paint on them!
Looks great.
Thanks for the chicken update...
That is terrible that people dumped their stuff on your land! I saw that duck and immediately thought of the name Clarence!
“Yeah I ain’t diggin that one…” digs anyway 😂
Yeah I couldn’t resist not knowing 😂
You need to build a fence on that side of the property to stop people from dumping
Robert, please take better care of yourself. As my almost 90- before-he-died-Daddy- used to say , "Two truths you should always remember- Your body never forgives and it never forgets"
Maybe you could also scoop up the dirt piles and take them to the dump. Then you won't have to worry about looking at them and the glass will be permanently removed.
💞
Always check change for Doubling.!!!
Enjoyed from Texas!
WHERE DID ALL THAT GLASS COME FROM?
