I am a premed student right now, who's not doing very good in school right now, so thanks to americas inspiration I decided to start my own TH-cam channel just to vlog and show what hard work and dedication can get you, because I'm not done fighting to get into medical school and I know I'm not the only one in a similar position. ALSO, just a suggestion: as a peds nurse when triaging a peds pt. who may not be the easiest to triage, we recommend that mom or dad holds the baby as we listen to the heart/lung sounds. Especially when taking rectal temperatures. This may help you if you want to confirm that the baby does indeed have a fever but he/she is a bit fuzzy.
Currently a CMA who completed Trade school an I absolutely loved this video! I’ve always wanted to work with kids an make them feel comfortable because I can only think about my experiences an how the assistants there made me comfortable! Such an inspiration an great motivation!!❤️

Pediatrics is definitely crazy just because of how diverse the patients are developmentally! I was a peds Nurse for years and it took a LONG time to master! You look like you are doing an awesome job swimming! The exam with your cat was amazing 😂

I wanna thank you for being so open about not knowing something. I'm a paramedic and sometimes I get frustrated with the new residents for being awkward with patients or otherwise just awkward with other members of the team. I think, they are doctors how do they not know how to talk to patients?! And in the moment it doesn't occur to me that you may have not had any medical experience prior to school. You're not really used to it all yet, haven't found your flow. So for that I am sorry for getting frustrated. And thank you for showing the process.
Always regretteding doing business at Uni instead of medicine. But I went back to school to do Health Information Management and basically have to learn all sorts of medical stuff and your videos are super motivating and keep me studying when I want to quit lol. Love you vlogs and your personality.

Pediatrics is not all fun and rainbows. The cuteness wears off fast. First week in and now I have an upper respiratory infection I'm sure I caught from one of the kiddos even with all my vigorous hand washing and sanitizing. Thought this was something I wanted to specialize in, but nope!
I am a vet student and enjoy watching you videos cause there are no vet vloggers, but you talking about the infants cracked me up. Its how every patient I have is. They pant and I cant hear their heart, the owners ask weird and specific questions but dont know simple diagnostic questions about their animal and sometimes they attempts to bite your face off, but they always always wiggle. I feel you girl
In undergrad, I thought about getting a medical assisting certification that way I could get experience in the hospital/clinic setting (while getting paid!) but probably going to change my mind again after speaking with Precious. But during the brief quest of the side degree, I took medical terminology to get a head start of medical area. I'm taking medical ethics & law this semester and it's pretty good. I hope things are going well this semester! Good luck
