Started with the 1 firecracker setting a couple days ago. Got rid of most of the popping, but still had a couple of pops/backfires when I downshifted from 5th to 4th to take a corner. Seems to happen over 3500 rpms. Going to try 2 firecrackers setting next. I will say that even though this is only changing the air/fuel when the throttle is closed, I feel like the bike is running smoother when decelerating. The engine seems to have a nice purr....if that makes sense.
Appreciate the info on Decel Pop. I thought you set it at "Off" to get no pop noise. I'm definitely not a fan of decel pop. I will try one firecracker and work my way up. Thanks again. Ride Safe.

In your video you set the firecracker at one then flashed the map. At the end of video you set it back to no pop. Question is if I set and flash 1 firecracker do I go back to no pop?
So when installing the FP3 for the first time with a map, is the decel pop activated? As i just flashed a map using the fp3 for the correct setup and now have the ocasion decel pop when coming to a stop or down shifting.

Glasgow Harley Rider Seting the decel pop feature to off does not eliminate decel pops it disables the feature. You have to select 1,2 or 3 firecrackers , the more firecrackers the less pops. I contacted Vance and Hines and that's what they said. They also made a custom map for me and it removed the pops.
You can always bump it to 2 and see if the results are better you may even need to jump to 3. Make sure the bike is up to temperature also. Cold is much more likely to have pop.

So does putting more fuel in to the cylinders on deceleration risk gasoline in engine oil?

Give Vance and Hines a call. They can tweak your map

No you want to leave it where you like it. I personally Didn’t gave any decel pop. I was for demonstration on the video. Thanks for watching

You will need to check their website. Thinking it’s a Harley only part.

Run a couple tanks of gas and see some f it goes away. If not use the decel pop feature. Thanks for watching

Mine is off on fp3 ... iron 883 still has regular popping coming down gears .. re flash ?
I would set it to low decel pop and reflash.
Start on low and work your way up if still having some pop.

Fuelpak is a fucking joke, all it will do is ruin your motorcycle.
I’ve been running an FP3 on my bike for years. 53k miles and it still runs strong. When exactly is it going to be ruined? 😂😂😂😂
