      peterson is a buffoon.
      1. leftists are on a higher level, we see the bigger picture, we are not envious.
      2. capitalism only allows a small % to fulfill their potential because the ones that don't make the grade have to do menial jobs, even though they might be 97% as good as a more successful person

Just remember that Jesus said the way is narrow and few find it. And if you find yourself getting mad at all of the craziness around he also said that the love of most would grow cold in the end because of an increase of lawlessness. It was a possibility, Jesus himself promised it would happen. I have no idea how to check my TH-cam messages but I’ll try and learn in case you reply

I loved this episode but was so disappointed when they stated women are single because they want the freedom to have different sexual partners when it’s freedom to be treated as an equally valuable human being without being pushed or screamed at or controlled to the point of weather we are even allowed to go to the gym. I love the elderly, hearing about how life was before technology, what their parents where like, I just love people in their 70s or 80s but it’s always the same sad story of the first 10 or 20 years their husbands hitting them or yelling at them constantly or cheating then now they treat me ok, 30 or 40 years later. I am saddened by what feminism has become, parading naked on a street, we just wanted to not be raped and beat and have the same job opportunities.

Jordan Peterson: "I didn't say that it doesn't exist, I said that there are many reasons for it, because I'm very, very, *very* careful with my words."

you know that Men work longer hours on average, you know Men work more dangerous jobs on average. It's so obvious you are unwilling to see reality becuase you don't want to.
If you are unwilling to understand the distinction between hourly pay, hours worked and career choice that Men and Women differ on.
You are simply comfortable with your conditioning.

Very few men are intimidated by those types of women. A lot women say that too, but it's just incorrect.
They just tend to have a more masculine "energy" about them, and as he mentioned, they're 30 and looking for everything now because they're window is smaller. Men desire the 25 year old that is both more fertile and more feminine in her behaviors traits. There was that study they did across cultures to determine what age women were most attractive to men. They showed pictures of women to these men and the conclusion was that women about 20 years old are the most attractive. Well, of course they are. They're at the peak of their beauty and femininity. So many women use the they want and like as the gauge for what men want and it's just dead wrong. Then they ask their girl friends what to do and they get the worst advice possible that reinforces that beliefs they already have because they're clueless about what men want. They see the world through what they want and what they believe men should want, which is them as they are. This is why so many of them are going to end up alone and childless over the next decade, unfortunately.

All Commonwealth countries take their humour from the British; but we’re not British and we’re not American so nobody’s really paying attention as we sit between these bigger countries watching and poking fun, all the while building our comedy muscle. 15:50 - No Jordan, that "parody" you refer to is what the average religious person believes. It's not something that atheists have constructed; it's a concept that athiests dismiss. And they dismiss it because that's what's presented.
And no, going to the moon and not seeing god anywhere and therefore concluding he doesn't exist is not the positions athiesm takes. Athiesm simply says, "I have a lack of evidence to justify a beleif in god, and so I'm not going to hold that belief." You should know that by now, especially after that conversation you had with Matt Dillahunty. I'm hoping Jordan is giving a simplistic take here for the sake of argument. The problem is, he can go ahead and present is abstract interpretation of religion and god, but that's not the interpretation the vast majority of people hold, so it's not relevant to what he's saying about the atheist response. They're not responding to you Jordan, they're responding to what the average religious person belives. And it's that average religious person that's constructed that parody you refer to, not the athiests.

    • @christiancameron2997
      @christiancameron2997 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

Copying my response to your other comment where you said the same thing:
For the first point, even if the "parody" is what the average religious person believes, so what? Why are atheists wasting their time objecting to that parody? If you want to own fundamentalists in an argument, have at it, but the mistake that Sam Harris, Matt Dillahunty, and other atheists make is that they assume the fundamentalists are the most representative of, say, Christianity (using this as the example because that's the tradition I am most familiar with and the tradition the atheists are mostly engaging with). The Church holds up saints (Gregory of Nyssa, Thomas Aquinas, Augustine, Irenaeus, to name tiny fraction of all the church theologians) as the best and what is to be endorsed. Jordan is engaging with that tradition. If you know, as Jordan explains, that there are much more sophisticated classical views of God, why would you waste your time arguing against an ignorant fundamentalist's views? Because it's easier? And the statement that we went to the moon and didn't see God not being a fair characterization -- so you don't like it when someone argues against a parody of the atheist view? But I thought it was fine for the atheists to do that to the Christian view? And by the way, this a reference to a quote attributed to Yuri Gagarin, the Soviet cosmonaut. In other words, Jordan didn't construct this view as a parody, it's a view that is presented by atheists, to use your language. And you can explain to me how it is a parody of the materialist view at least, because it doesn't seem to me to be a parody. I don't see any more nuance in the materialist view than that we can't detect something with our senses so it must not exist. That may not be a fair characterization of all atheists, since I'm not sure all atheists are materialists, but as for materialism I don't know that there is anything more nuanced about it.
Also, I share Jordan's and Sal's disgust at the comment that the world would be better off without humans. Obviously he doesn't mean he would kill everyone, and I know what he thinks he is saying that the environment would be in better shape if we had not existed. But it's part of the trend to see humanity as a disease which is pretty popular in some circles, and even seen as somehow virtuous. OK Agent Smith. And I actually think Sal had a point. Yes, if he had said to kill only a specific group of people, that would be a completely different argument and brings in many other considerations like genocide, etc., but forget those other considerations, it also illustrates a point, which is that it's easy to say the world would have been better off without "humanity" in the abstract, but when you are thinking of a particular people or country, now it becomes obvious what a loss it would be if such a people had never existed. And no one would wish for that. So it's an entirely useless comment, and means nothing except to despise humanity in the abstract. It's straight out of the playbook of the antinatalists, and I have no sympathy for it. It's naive to think that having this kind of philosophy doesn't affect people's willingness to have children, justification of suicide, etc.
What did you think of the discussion beginning at 27:00 about how we don't exactly perceive objects, but that we perceive meaning and utility?

Sal, thank you for asking the one question I have always wanted to ask him; what drove him to know just how much he does about the human condition 🙏🙏🙏

All you have to do is study Chimps in the wild and you'll learn all you need to know about the human condition... we're just smarter chimps...some good. Some caring. Some all about themselves. Some leaders. Some followers. Some aggressive...some passive. Everything you see in human society exists in a more crude and simplified manner with chimps....I like Jordan, but he's so full of word salad bs it fools people .

Could only make it through like half of this. Not really interesting at all. He has some good arguments and some bad ones. He presents straw men and misrepresents arguments as well. I just cant listen this man talk to himself for another hour. I’d rather him debate someone that challenges him.
